According to my dr. I'm allowed to keep sipping and moving. Walking at a slow pace is fine provided the individual feel up to it. Now previous days I wasn't walking at 2.5 but I felt I could today. However my body told me to slow it down after 30 mins. Lesson learned. But I don't feel that was brisk or intense at all considering what I was doing prior. My dr did tell me to keep the length of time down and short but multiple walks are better.

Ok so i know this may be silly but I notice I'm able to drink more like 16 oz in the last 40 minutes. That is a major jump from previous days. Is it normal? All I can think of is did I possibly stretch my sleeve. and I kinda gotten use to not being able to drink a lot in little time. I also notice today for the first time the scale went up 1.6 pounds. What are your thoughts. Should I just relax and adjust or is something wrong?

@ "msfitn2014" welcome to the other side! As I was told don't worry just do the best you can to stay hydrated. Also as I've experienced you will sip more and more as the days go by. I was shocked when my sips got a little bigger but in time it will get better. BTW I'm 9 days post op

Taste buds changing possibly

@ "DiannVolvo" sorry to hear that. Don't get discourage give it time. Honestly I've been ok. Just little things here and there but I've been mobile pretty well on my own. I've been going to the gym walking slow of course but I'm able to do it for and hour and a half. I figured out I drink more doing that. I still can't get in my protein. Some moments I get the urge to eat and then it's times I could care less. It's a roller coaster with this. I'm starting to sleep in my bed with a ton of pillows tho. Just take it one day at a time. Each day I learn something new. I made the mistake of eating yogurt/pudding and my sleeve ached at me for a couple days but now since I haven't eaten it, it's fine. I still barely get 64 oz of fluids in but it increases everyday. -
I notice today the protein shake I use to drink pre surgery doesn't taste the same at all. I'm just 8 days out. Is that normal for your taste to change so fast? When did you notice yours changing?

@ "CowgirlJane" wow 3 years seems so far out. That's awesome! How is life at that stage? How has your weight been throughout time? Any advice for a newbie? -
Thanks but found out yesterday the dr does not want me to eat pudding or yogurt yet. I was like really. I had been eating it. Guess that sums up that lil stitch pain I feel off and on that's nagging me. Yesterday was challenging I felt hungry a lot. Everyday I learn something new with this. I did try to sleep in my bed 2 nights but lastnight it just wasn't working out. Back to the recliner I went lol.

Walked today for 80 mins inclined to 1.0 and speed was 2.1. I thought that was just great. My progress to me seem like it's slowly but surely. I was able to eat a half cup of sf pudding then added banana protein powder in it. Yummy to my tummy! It's the little things that I ❤️.

How long does it take for the gas pains to go away? How did you manage to get all your Protein in? I can barely get 12 oz of Water down. How was your first couple of days? Please tell me this get easier. I was so excited and now I'm thinking wth is going on. After reading everything I thought I would have better control over this but seems this is controlling me. I have been walking but these gas pains are insane. The nurse told me it's no need of taking gas x because this is a different kind of gas so the strips may not work. Any advice would be great. Thanks

September Sleevers!
mochax replied to SleevedSharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ "luven637" I'm sorry your still feeling bad. Hang in there. Take your pain meds when you need them. I have pills I split in half if I need it. I'm also still on liquids for 2weeks then purée then soft mushy. As for protein ice, I mix my protein fruit drink like Nector fuzzy navel and pour into ice trays so I use that in a separate protein juice drink. Like double protein in one drink. Hope that helps. -

@"seahay" way to go! Keep doing what your doing. Everything was successful for me as well however I believe I've pissed my sleeve off with the yogurt but hey a lesson learned. -
So I'm 5 days out. I ate a yogurt within an hour and I had a Popsicle. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have. I've been feeling a nagging pain every since. However that was around noon, now along with the pain my stomach is growling. I'm not sure what to do. Sip or just let it be thinking it may be still full or irritated. Any thoughts?

@@woo woo I'm thinking to stay away from thick foods such as yogurt and pudding for now. Jello didn't work to well, i think I figured that out as well. @ miss mac thanks for the info and too funny on naming your sleeve lol. Not sure what to call mine but she's definitely grumpy, always making noises and has been pretty pissed off today for sure. @@JCP I am resting no more trips to target. Thanks guys!

Yes I had a movement today. And I'm trying to take it easy. I did take one of my pain pills. I'll email my dr if it continues. Thanks

@ Karen I would think you should still loose. I use to be big on counting calories prior to surgery which helped me loose 29 pounds. I was intaking 13-1500 a day so I would assume now taking in way less the pounds should melt away. But you know they say the sleeve has a mind of it's own lol. Hang in there you got it!!
