3 month Post Op Check
kclaws replied to michelle_e2006's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on your 66 lbs!! That's awesomeness!! I am also 3 months post op but don't see my dr till 7/23. Wondering if he will send me for labs. My D was low before surgery and I've been taking it since then so hoping it's ok. We shall see. -

Awesome! Congrats!! -
Ok so this probably sounds so stupid, but I'm actually looking forward to going to the dr tomorrow. In the past I have dreaded stepping on the scale for the weigh in but tomorrow I'm exactly 3 months post-op and down 51.5 lbs so I'm kind of looking forward to the weigh in! Looking forward to watching the lb ticker not have to be put up to the 200 lb mark! Had to share because anyone else would really think I'm nuts! Lol!

April sleevers weight loss
kclaws replied to Tammylb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm down 46 lbs since 3/17, I was sleeved on 4/7 and weighed 225 my current weight is 193.5, so 31.5 lbs since surgery. Seems to be 1-2 lbs a week. Down from a tight 16 to a comfortable (maybe a bit loose) 14 pants. Tops from xxl to a large. I meet with my surgeon again on 7/23. -
Thank you!! You will get there!!! Just keep at it!

Today I entered ONEderland!!! I'm so happy! I haven't been here in a very long time! Can't wait to go to my primary dr and get weighed and watch the nurse not have to put the scale on the 200 mark! I was sleeved on 4/7. HW 239.5 SW 225 today 199.5. I can't believe I am really here Just had to share with people who understand!

Yes it does! I'm 7 weeks post op and I feel good! Hurts a bit if I eat too fast and my stomach still makes very weird noises but that's about it! Hang in there! -

I also love milk and I now use unsweetened vanilla almond milk. About 1 carb per cup. I use it in my protein shakes and it tastes fine. -

My doctor didn't tell me to stay away from any of that! He told me basically if I do eat something bad jury make sure it's solid so I'll eat less!!! -

When was everyone allowed to eat raw vegetables like salads? I'm 6 weeks out and not sure when I can start eating them. My doctor didn't give me any specific guidelines he just told me to start adding new foods. -

Thank you everyone for your input! I think part of the reason I'm having such a hard time is I'm not much of a cook, my husband does most of the cooking and I have literally no time to prepare my meals. I'm a teacher and I live over an hour from my job plus I have two kids. I know once school is out I'll have more time to try making some new things but honestly right now I'm looking for convenient! I am really missing carbs too so I'm having a very hard time!!
