with my insurance, I have to stay at a bmi of @least 40 for the 6 months. I know this is counter productive. But this is what my insurance requires. I already have a date to turn in my paperwork. It it September 8th and it usually about s week foe approval. So I am hoping for a sept 30 th surgery daye!!! Fingers crossed -
I see the nutritionist today to start my 6 month supervised diet. I am so happy the ball is finally rolling:)

I was so afraid that just having a bmi of 40.4 would not be enough but the dr said that it will be no problem with the insurance, I also am starting my 6 month diet monday april 21st, my psych eval is may 10th, my swallowing test is may 12th and my nutrition class is may 17th. I just need to get my egd scheduled and I am set. Just have to keep my bmi above 40 and I should be turning in my paper work in mid sept. And I found the greatest thing!!! I don't need to do a two pre op diet yeah I am so glad.

I am sooo excited I go see my surgeon for the first time tomorrow!!! I get to finally ask all the questions I have been wondering about. Wish me luck!! I also have a bmi 41.1 with no co mobitities I hope that is not going to be an issuse with the insurance

I just started my journey, I just went to my pcp last Friday and she wrote the referral to the surgeon, the only thing is the nurses have not sent it to the surgeons office yet. I just want to get stared!!!! -
I am new to the sleeve world i am just getting started on my journey, i went to my pcp and she wrote the refferal to the surgeon, but her nurses havent sent in my paperwork to the the surgeons office yet . i know that i am being inpatient, but i just want to get the ball rolling. i would love to have my sugery by the end of sept. of this year

I personally would talk to your PCP and tell them that their office staff is being lax in sending your information to the surgeon's office.
For me I started with the surgeon first appointment in May 2013 and had surgery September 2013 so it can be done that fast if everything falls into place.
So I wish you a lot of luck in getting a start on your journey to a new beginning.
