Who Has Joined A Gym Or Do You Work Out At Home?
Jazlady replied to violeteyes37's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I never heard of Contours before. They don't have them in my area. What can you tell me about them? Is it something like Curves? -
I went to the walking track this afternoon and got poured on. So I went home and did the walk/jog around my house. It wasn't too bad although I wouldn't exactly call it 'jogging'. It was more like a fast shuffle. Progress not perfection! Jeanie:D

Our cause is to promote and support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I feel like it is such a good cause and I can't wait to go to the hospital and meet with the children. Jeanie:clap2:

Thanks everyone! YOU really help my self-esteem. Amber, most of the festival crowns in Louisiana are that big. Look at my daughter's crown in the pic with both of us. And to everyone. This is meant to inspire all of you to reach for whatever goals you have in life. Don't feel like it is too late to do anything. My next goal is to be a runner although currently I am a couch potato! ha ha But I've joined others here who are striving for that goal and it only starts with a single step. Jeanie:clap2:

I am so excited to find out about this. I was just thinking about a goal I've always had and that was to be a 'jogger'. But everytime I would try I would get exhausted and afraid I'd hurt my knees or something. This program is very attainable. I'M IN!!! And I just got an email at work that they are getting a team together for a corporate race on Dec. 2! I'm doing it even if I have to walk it! Thanks for this post. Jeanie:bounce:

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
Jazlady replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Who would have ever thought? But I ran in a pageant (at 47) and won!!! I am the 2007 Woman Louisiana Honeybee Festival Queen. Here's my before from March 2007 and now pics. -
I'm a little nervous as this storm approaches our area. We still haven't recovered from Katrina. Hurricane time always means a lot of food. You eat, watch the TV, eat, eat and take turns sleeping. This will be the first one since lapband. Pray for me. I don't want to graze my way through this weekend. Thanks.

I've just found Diet Nestea in the can and love it. But I was wondering if it has carbonation? I don't think it does because it doesn't fizz like diet coke and it is tea? Does anyone know for sure? What about diet tea in the plastic jug? THanks.

I had a rough day yesterday. It's the first time I binged on candy. I'm really struggling to lose more. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ya'll! I'm new here and was so glad to find other 'Marchies'. I was banded on March 20, 2007 and have lost 41 lbs. to date. 10 of that was pre-op. I just got my 4th fill and I'm near max fill close to 4cc. I'm 'very' tight now. I find I've lost a lot of motivation in the last 2 months. I'm slipping back into eating the old things like fried foods & junk. I stopped exercising too. I'm bored. I think I'm either comfortable with my size (12-14's from 22's), believe I really can't be any smaller, or am just plain scared to be smaller. I've never been smaller than this. I miss food on some days and want to hide behind the fat clothes sometimes. Luckily this is becoming less and less. I guess I'm really scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Glad to be here. Jeanie

I know how you feel. I've been losing slow...around 1 lb. every 2 weeks but my numbers average to about 8 a mth. I finally had a 4th fill yesterday and am pretty close to 4 cc. I feel 'very' tight today. I'm not even sure if it's not too tight. We'll see. Good luck and let's try not to get too discouraged.
