Hola everyone here... First and foremost, I am so happy that this forum exists. It's been so informative for me in the past few days since I first discovered it! Thank you to Alex (founder) and to everyone who posts on here, talk about shock-full of information, thank you again!

Well my journey began back in November when a co-worker told me about the "Sleeve". I had head previously of the Gastric Bass but never heard of the "Sleeve". I did some research, found a fabulous surgeon and had my first office visit back in December. Tomorrow will be my last doctor visit and I will find out the date I will have my surgery tomorrow. Soooo exciting!

I have been overweight for most of my adult life, with now being at my heaviest. I actually weigh more than when I was 9 month pregnant with my precious daughter. That's bad! I am over 50 and I am super comfortable with doing this and cannot wait to continue this journey. I hope with my new life change, I can inspire others who like me are not happy with themselves due to their weight and that dieting has not worked for them as it hasn't for me. It's time...and I welcome this time in my life with open arms.

I also hope to inspire my teen-age daughter to eat healthier and work out (I hope to do this with her) so she doesn't have to go thru this kind of overweight issues like I have.

Again, thank you for reading this, thank you Alex for opening up this forum, I look forward to becoming part of this forum family by posting and responding to posts. I'll keep you updated on my upcoming surgery date and so on... God Bless....
