  1. Good Luck, I just had my surgery done 3 weeks ago and I have lost over 30 pounds, you'll do great just stick with your diet. It will seem hard at times but it is worth it!

    March 2014 Sleevers

I had mine on the same day Kim. No regrets..so far. I just saw about the hiccups because I will hiccup once or twice. Someone forgot to mention the burping too. I did alright in the hospital. I was still thirsty the day after surgery. Now that I am home, I'm walking up and down stairs, albeit slowly, but I am doing it. I'm experiencing some twinges of pain, and all of my abdomen is really sore. Like a too rough workout. For the 2nd day, I'd say Not bad. Is anybody else experiencing stomach rumbling? My stomach rumbling is gone now but I believe it is from your intestines being empty and the air pushing through them now, in a few days that will stop. Also my stomach rumbling came with some short sharp pains and those went away too. Good Luck!!

    March 2014 Sleevers

My surgery was on Tuesday March 11th. I was let out of the hospital on Thursday and as a dance mom I was at a dance competition on Saturday. My husband did drive me there and carry everything for me. But the Monday after my surgery my husband had to go back to work and I drove to pick up the kids and take them to their nightly activities. I have been fine, I do however get my kids to carry everything since I can't lift anything over 5 pounds but I am getting around just fine.

    suffering from hiccups

I get the hiccups probably 2-3 times a week since my surgery and I didn't get them before. I didn't realize that meant the sleeve was full. But I haven't found anyway to stop them.
  6. I'm not even 3 weeks post-op but I lost 8 pounds the week before surgery, 7.8 pounds my first week after surgery, 7.4 the second week after surgery, and I am still losing about 1 pound per day. I was just OKed to go back to the gym yesterday so hopefully I can keep that rate up for a while!
  7. I'm so proud of you and happy for you, my surgery was 3/11/14 and I am very excited for all the things I can do with my kids this summer too! I live in Los Angeles so I am seeing a lot more beach days in our summer break!
  8. I just had my surgery on March 11th and I can't make the support groups that my surgeon recommended because my kids have evening activities. Does anybody have any recommendations for me? Also, on a side note, today is the first day I get to go back to the gym, any ideas on exercises I can do? They still told me to not do anything that involves the stomach, core muscles or back for 2 more weeks.

    can we say .. EMBARRASSED!

I wouldn't worry to much. I would put in a tampon and wear a pad just because they are going to give you Heparin to avoid blood clots. Of course tell them also, I started my period during the surgery. It was early and unexpected but it did force me to get out of bed and walk more to get to the bathroom to change myself, but walking afterwards is really good. The Heparin really made me have less cramps but it did make my period last two days longer.
