My doc had me eating regular food 4 days post op sleeve, you will be fine! I might be an exception, but I was able to eat everything (in smaller portions) within 2 weeks. 5 months later, Im down 85lbs and never felt better. -

Before my sleeve, I would last maybe 15 seconds before it was over. Now I'm going at least 5-10 minutes and can do it twice! I'm 40 and feel I'm 20 in the sack.

Does anyone regret it?
CAinSB replied to XForeverYoursX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I sometimes miss food, he was my best friend! But then I look in the mirror and see the 80lb transformation four months later, the absence of discrimination, and wearing clothes I've saved for 10 years, I don't regret any of it. It's awkward in social settings because everything social seems to revolve around food and alcohol, but I love the new me. I miss my 'ol pal Ronald McDonald, just like I miss my ex-wife. We had some good times, but they both could care less about me! -

Go Mike! The more you keep track of your progress, the easier it becomes to do a little more everyday. 2 weeks tomorrow! Set goals you can reach and stay committed to yourself. I was sleeved March 28th and walked about 30 minutes 3-4 days a week in April, 4-5 days a week for 30-45 minutes in May, went to 6 days in June for an hour and now July I'm doing at least 2 hours a day every day. My goal is 120 miles! I walk for 30 minutes before work, 30-45 minutes during my lunch break, and about an hour in the evening after I make my family dinner. I'm dreading the next few months when it starts getting dark earlier, will have to get up a little earlier!

I'm sorry you're offended, maybe you should unsubscribe. I'm happy to have shed my fat suit, feels good to be a former fatty. I love Labrador retrievers, good walking dogs!
-
Hi Cee, good for you if you can do it without surgery! For me, I couldn't. The walking is addictive! I've been going more and more everyday and now am running!
-
Go Arielle! I'm 3 months and down almost 80lbs. Being active and eating right is making the rolls roll away! I went hiking yesterday and did 11 miles, I could have easily went 2-3 miles longer. Three months ago I was having trouble putting on my underwear! Start a walking routine, easy at first. .... keep us posted!
-
Almost 11 mile hike today!
-
I'm a little over 3 months from being sleeved, I can handle anything (in small servings). Drinking watermelon and lemon juice is fine, just not good to drink every day. Yes, it's high in sugar, but sugary drinks and food wasn't my thing. Cheeseburgers were!
-
Just put some chunks of watermelon and lemon juice in the blender with a few ice cubes. Yum!

A food addict in denial and reading about food addictions? I've been a food addict for life and will always be one. We low BMI challenged people who have a sleeve, band or bypass got to this point because we all ate way too much and didn't burn more calories than we consumed. Most of us will struggle with it until we die. I could care less about hurting feelings, unless you were force-fed like a foie gras goose. I blame my old 42 BMI on myself, nobody else and will never allow myself to become a victim and blame others.
-
I didn't insult anyone, I'm fighting the fat demons one calorie at a time and am being honest with myself. I refuse to act like a wilted flower and make excuses!

I don't want to insult anyone, just trying to get you moving. Myself, I'm sick of man boobs.

I'm shocked how many people here think I'm rude, mean, insulting, etc. for being an advocate for a lifestyle change and the truth. "I'm not doing your challenge" well, that's why doctors do revisions on people. If you don't like what I have to say, then unsubscribe. Fact is, if you're having bariatric surgery or had, it's because you're consuming (or consumed) more calories than you burn.
