I thought I wouldn't have to endure Bandsters Hell...I was wrong!
Tinaree replied to Jenn Cooper's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Here's my situation...I got my second fill last Friday. Banded on May 9th. After my first fill I could eat anything, and I was able to control my portions and lose weight nicely. Since this last fill, I can only eat two or three small bites and that's it. Totally full, burping, and very uncomfortable. Is this normal? Will my band settle down, or is my band too tight? -
Same thing happened to me. I wasn't eating enough. As soon as I started eating more I felt so much better and no more dizziness.

Vomiting and food stuck
Tinaree replied to BigDreams2014's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've got something stuck right now. A piece of sausage. It's been 2 1/2 hours and it's still stuck. What should I do? I've never tried to make myself throw up. How do I do that? I'm miserable -
So how's it going now? Better?

I'm in Winfield Illinois. -
I have a membership and it's close by and my family is very supportive. But I'm scared to walk into the place. I think I may make an appointment with a trainer and have them work out a fitness plan for me. Since I don't really know what to do or how to get started. My husband and I walk every evening. And my daughter and I go for bike rides which I haven't done in seven years. I was banded on May 9th. I'm down 33 pounds. Size 18 clothes. Was a 22. I've been trying to psych myself up for my first gym visit and I'm scared to death.

We'll I did it... I made the phone call and I'm getting set up with a personal trainer. Yay me! I'm going to suck it up and get in there and do it. Because I CAN do it. I was so proud of myself for just making the phone call that I walked four miles tonight. Thanks everyone! You guys rock!

Just banded.... Am im Gassy...HELP
Tinaree replied to tiki luv banded's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yep. Same thing happened to me. Gas X and keep walking. My daughter did karate chops all over my back which helped a lot too. But walking is the key. You may not feel like it but keep walking. Each day it will get better. -
Does anyone know what their surgeon fees were?
Tinaree replied to Wendydarling19's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm from Chicago, and I self paid. Total was $13,000. $10,000 for the clinic, $2,400 for the surgeon, and $600 for the anesthesiologist. 12 months of fills and followups included. -
I was banded on May 9th. Everything has been good. No issues, except that I'm freezing most of the time. Hands and feet are like ice. I can't get warm. It's not cold here. No one else is cold. I wake up shivering at night. I've never been cold this this before. Any ideas?
