I am on soft food right now. I feel so normal, hardly a change at all. Wierd.

can anyone tell me how to start my very own ticker to measure my weightloss? Sorry to be a dumb newbie, and thank you in advance.

Even with all the disclaimers about nonjudgement, I find this type of post offensive. It is not even necessary to point out that others have not achieved what you deem as appropriate weightloss. That is called taking someone else's inventory. Let them worry about how much they rely on the band, and how much they move and expend. Don't we have enough of the world judging us without turning on one another? And by the way, even losing 40 pounds can translate into lower blood presure and a deacreased risk of diabetes and cancer. That equals success to me!

Savery: I can understand what you are asking even if you did choose slightly inflamatory wording...I have had many of the same questions at times. I think what makes attempting weightloss WITH the band so different than WITHOUT the band is the fact that somehow the band gives you a baseline satiety...meaning you feel more sated and less obsessed with your next culinary conquest. At least that is my short experience with my band. I'm a newb and no expert, but that's what I notice. Good luck, I hope you find the path that's right for you to achieve health and happiness.

I was banded 8/31/07and I am pretty much miserable I am so hungry. NOTHING helps!!!

Wow I am sooooooooo sorry for you!!! It will work out, you can do it. Pay down some bills get a loan and go to mexico at a fraction of the cost...then be happy and healthy. Good luck!!

When your liver is enlarged it is called fatty liver and it is from consuming too much fat for your body to metabolize. It doesn't happen to everyone, but the way to shrink it is to cut down on excess fat and carbs and eat more grains, lean meats and veggies. Try to eat low cal, small portions and drink lots of water.

losingjusme: I am having a difficult time following my Dr's orders because I feel absolutely the same way I did prior to surgery. I barely had any post op pain and my stomach feels exactly the same.

I know what you mean. I have already eaten regular food and I only had my surgery 1 week ago. I can eat a lot and do not feel full very soon. I feel like I had nothing done too.
