I have a desk job so I was out 3 days of work and a weekend.

Had my surgery March 12th. Lost over 22 pounds so far. I was pretty miserable the first two days post-op, but I started feeling better when I got off the pain killers, go figure. sleep was a little difficult the first week, as I couldn't lay on my side, but that has taken care of itself. I get some stomach rumbling/discomfort with some foods, but I can tell it's gradually getting better. I don't get hungry at all, but I can feel myself get a little weak if I go too long without eating. I have my post-op with my doc on Friday. No regrets here.

I only took 3 days off work for my procedure (plus the following weekend) before returning to work. I'm two weeks post op and I bring Protein drinks (muscle milk is a fave), yogurt, jell-o, applesauce, broth/cream Soups to work. Also you couldn't eat fast food if you wanted. You would probably be in a lot of pain and discomfort if you tried that two weeks after surgery.

Perhaps you should thank the American medical professionals in Scripps that saved your life instead of God.
