I have a funny- I live alone and so don't fill up the dishwasher very quickly. And even slower now. But I keep running out of spoons and cups! -

I wish I shared your "not hungry" problem!! I'm starving!!! But of course, I'm full two seconds after I start eating I started sneaking in some soft foods even though I'm not supposed to until Sunday. I'm not gonna lie- best thing I ever did! I just need a few bites of something to mentally get through the rest of the protein shake phase! Congrats everybody on your losses! -

@@danaalonzo, it sounds like you are in a tough situation! I agree with zussieq7- google! I know my program's dietary guidelines are online for the public to see. Great info for all stages, I pasted the link below, which you'll probably have to cut and paste into your browser. http://www.brighamandwomens.org/Departments_and_Services/surgery/services/generalsurg/WeightLossSurgery/Documents/SleeveDietGuidelinesColor.pdf -
Post Op June 2014 Sleevers

Did anybody get dissolving stitches and skin glue on the incisions? Just wondering how long until they fall off or dissolve or whatever. I realized that I forgot to ask and I'm just curious... -

June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

Hi all! I'm four days post op, and feeling good! Tried to manage my minimal pain with Tylenol instead of the prescription for the first time today. It's ok; I think I'll take a "good" one for bed though. I've averaged about two protein shakes a day, and about half of the water. Scale isn't moving a whole lot yet, but down 25 since starting the process in April. HUGE shout out to the nurses and staff at Brigham & Women's in Boston. Amazing. -

Ack-tomorrow's my day! And I just found our post-op thread. Thank you to whomever started both... It's nice to have people in the same stage of the journey. -

Thanks for all of the updates, post ops!! Soon the rest of us will be joining you! I'm on Friday and just crossed the -20 pound mark from my personal and then surgeon-imposed pre-op diets. It feels so good, I can't wait for Friday!! -
Thanks everyone!

Thanks ladies!

I know it's not forever, but being allowed to drink it would make the two week pre-op liquid diet so much more tolerable! *yawn* (Of course it's worth it, but I just needed to vent. Thanks for reading )

For the post-ops out there... How long before you started noticing loose/excess skin? (Sorry if this is already addressed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it!) I've accepted it's inevitability, just wondering when it kicks in. Of course, I'm secretly hoping I have wonder-skin and it won't happen... A girl can dream, right?

Jennifer your story sounds identical to mine. I'm 8 days post op. My largest incision hurt for days. MUCH better now. I, too, decided to sleep in the recliner as the bed killed my abs. I also has a hernia repair. I had no clue I had a hiatal hernia. Go figure. Glad you're on the mend!!! Every day is better!!!!! I've read several people's posts saying that they've preferred to sleep in their recliners post-op. I don't have a recliner, and I'm starting to think about what I can do with what I have on hand. What, exactly, has been painful about sleeping in your regular beds? (9 days and counting!)
