soft foods is fine with me for 48 hours.

I noticed that I am tight in the mornings as well. I just got another 2 ccs in my 10 VG band and can barely eat anything.

There is no way I could live on 1/4 cup of food. My hair would definitely fall out and I would PASS out from hunger. I hope I'll always need much more than a 1/4 cup of food to sustain me.

I have Dr. Fiallo as well and am going in for my third fill. I'm still able to eat everything; hopefully, I'll start to feel restriction. It should be 2 cc's if all goes well.

Holy Sh*t! $575 for a fill? Why do folks need fill centers in the first place. Just wondering...

What does the liver have to do with the lapband? I've never heard of that.

I had a stroke in April 2006. I started the lapband beginnings on July 2006. The following April I was supposed to get the lapband only to be told by my surgeon he wouldn't take the risk based on the prior NOVEMBER letter my neurosurgeon wrote, but he never saw until the night before the surgery. Imagine my disappointment! Meanwhile, the day of the cancelled surgery, I started exhibiting what I thought was "I'm so pissed off" pain in my back. Turned out, I needed a hysterectomy and that was done in May 2007. I had 7 weeks to reflect on how I could go thru all of that (I have HBP, sleep apnea and was put on Plavix and aspirin April 2006 due to the stroke). I needed to be taken off the blood thinners to have the hysterectomy. With that being said, I asked the surgeon at my postop OB/GYN appointment (I asked for and received an appointment for the same day) to revisit his decision based on my surgical report. His reply was if I could go thru that major surgery with no problems, I could certainly have the lapband done. I had the lapband done on July 26, 2007.

What exactly is "solid" protein?

I didn't exercise before the band and I won't now. The most I'm hoping for is losing the weight to get off my meds. I'll never be model thin; I like to eat/munch way too much. My new best friend is soynuts...helps my menopause, keeps me in salty stuff (which I love), and it's healthy to boot.

What Is A Port Revision???

My doctor never instructed a pre op diet.

I had a hysterectomy in May; got the lapband in July. Was back to work in 4 days including the weekend.
