    2 days post op

Hi there............I see youre in the UK, I am too and no there isnt anything like this here! Yep, we all have pretty much the same start it seems to me that it is quite a slow process. I was banded 2/8/07 St. Richards Chichester under Guy Slater. Have no regrets just look forward. Take care, Justine.
  4. Hi Dave, I think that people commenting on how they see a difference in you is just the best thing, it can only mean progress. Yeah we really do do this differently over here you guys really seem to have to stick to such strict diets pre and post op it must be so hard. Keep up the good work.
  5. Hi Candle, yes sorry we do write our dates the other way round it was August I had surgery................3 days since first fill and don't really feel any more restricted at the moment, its so hard to know what to expect isn't it.
  6. Hi Candle......sorry I didn't see your message. That was just the amount of time I had to wait I got given the appointment after surgery. My fill was good not as horrible as I expected......I am a bit dissapointed I don't feel a little more restriction at this stage. The whole process seems to be really different in the UK, not as strict as you guys I followed the milk diet for ten days pre op and then could just have whatever I could manage (found that out for myself) and following my first fill (Friday) just sloppies for 48 hours and see how I go from there! Its really 'suck it and see' !!! So I'm just trying to eat sensible foods and not too much of it.
  7. Hi Sande, thanks for your encouragement.......I really have plenty to keep me busy, I am single with two boys who I enjoy so much. I am sure that my first fill TODAY will snap me out of this, I am so determined and I know it will be a gradual process. All the best Justine
  8. Sorry I really should say I am under Guy slater in St. Richards Hospital, Chichester-UK Banded 03/08/07
  9. your right...............it was so nice going for surgery for once not worrying about my size and how I look! I guess they will get me on the scales again tomorrow? I am looking forward to the fill I really want to get this working. Very best wishes to you too, like you say it is so nice to communicate with others who totally understand. Justine
  10. Thanks......I know its silly but you automatically think its only you that this happens to and its all going to go wrong......It's so frustrating I know it is no quick fix or miracle cure but its the constant battle with my appetite that I just want to stop. I hope I do notice a difference fairly quickly following the first inflation tomorrow, wait and see I guess. Good luck with yours I am sure we will post again next month sying how everything has improved.
  11. Hi, I'm a newbie to this site......really pleased to have found it. I had my band fitted on 3/08/07. Op went great very little discomfort afterwards sites have healed really well and I can't feel the port which was a great concern of mine, my apetite decreased straight away and all in all I had lost about 34 lbs from pre op to surgery. The last two weeks I have felt soooooooooooooooo hungry and wanted all the wrong things and went back to being able to eat quite large amounts a bit of indigestion here and there but nothing that I couldn't overcome!! I had felt so positive but I am sure that I have gained back some of the weight I had lost ( I hav'nt had the courage to get back on the scales) I get my first fill/inflation tomorrow and just hope this will get me back on track.......I have lost my positivity and fear failure, I'm sure I can't be the only one to feel like this at this stage I would like to add at no stage have I regretted having it done and I am sure deep down that it will work for me I think its just the fear of the unknown!
  12. Hi all, I have just come accross the site by chance...... wow what a find! Its so nice to read that others are experiencing the same as me at this time. The op was fab, appetite declined immediately but last 2 weeks or so I have been soooooooooooooooooo hungry and have regained some of the weight I had lost pre-op, starting to fear failure etc. etc. seem to have lost a lot of my positivity I just hope it all changes again tomorrow after inflation?
