Wow, I totally agree. Water is great. I am stalled at 32lbs lost but down 2 sizes. One size during the stall. So it is important to use all tools. Bring out those clothes you saved because you were going to lose those few pounds. They will fit and the ego boost is amazing!

I also can not have milk, even lactose free. I don't like the almond flavor. I like and can handle sweet acidolphilus milk. Tastes great and no rapid transit!

So as a gift to myself for losing over 100 pounds, I bought a new car!

I agree. That is the problem, our self image or self esteem. We don't think we deserve rewards. Our society says it is wrong to be selfish. Thinking of our selves is not wrong, we must love and care for our selves if we are to love and care for others. -
Sip and walk. The object now is don't strain, drink fluids, especially water, and walk to disperse gas. In my case it was to help pass time. I was so bored and it hurt to sit, too restless to sleep and too antsy to read. I hated the first few days home. Now is better. I am two weeks post op and looking forward to pureed foods, ummmmmmmm.

Just remember that it takes about 4 weeks for your muscles to heal. Be careful you do not give yourself a hernia. Walk faster rather than jog. You might even find you bury even more calories.

I don't think light jogging will hurt, long as your keeping your protein high. Remember people who have not had WLS are not going to understand this new lifestyle.

Pooh bear, keep up the support. You know how important it is. For the stalls, i used to work with the army soldiers who were over weight. Remember to eat meals. Don't graze. Even if i means getting up earlier. Eat, drink water, eat, drink water. It is energy and waste removal. Try to get. 800 cal. Less and you lose it slow because of starvation. But come on, you will lose it. No fat people who are starving. Just takes longer amd we don't look as good or have as much energy.

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/9-healthy-high-calorie-foods.htm This site has some good ideas for high calorie foods such as Peanut Butter, avocados, and almonds.

Ican not believe you got all that in. I am one week out and just got my first full protein drink in. Oozy, you are right that is gross. Hope it gets better. Your doc has been told, of course?

Sorry still trying to figure out how to post from phone on the move.

WTF it seems it is one thing after another. I guess it would just be as easy as everyone thinks if we didn't have these speed bumps.

I agree about the clothes saying what you look like. I used to adamantly work out and lift weights. I weighed 150 lbs in about a size 8. I look forward to simple things with my weight loss, walking longer than 10 minutes. I know we have to set a goal but I feel so much lighter now and I am only 8 days post. My weight fluctuated so much before surgery I couldn't decide what pants to wear. I wore any with elastic waists. I will have a steady size soon.

I am looking forward to pants that don't have elastic waists, a pair that emphasize the Normal *** t I will have and working on showing off my flat not mounded abs!!!!!

Slimmac here and please add me to the list for 18 Mar. How about Spring sleeves or thin sleeves. Especially with the pounds everyone is dropping!! I used a spoon on cream of mushroom soup. It was great having another taste besides water, chicken broth and a bunch of fruit or berry flavors.

What about heat and cold alternating for shoulder and neck pain? I am so glad I didn't get it with this surgery. I grew up in Mi. I laugh when the people here in Tn complain about snow and yes potholes! I am amazed you went to work. I want to know if any one else might be lactose intolerant. If so watch out for some of the proteins. I bought a big jug of some kind of whey protein isolate. Ooooh weeeee my body did not like it! Not only did it taste nasty(I have gotten to dislike French vanilla) but about an hour later I was running, well hobbling fast and undressing to get to the bathroom. What a way to end a week of not going.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I had my surgery on 18 mar. I too am having some of the issues stated here. I feel like I am freezing one minute(shaking with sore stomach muscles is not fun) and sweating in the next 2. I know it was my stomach they removed right? It wasn't my thermostat. As for protein, ugh, nausea is bad. More is the fear of actually heaving. I have read some good ideas for shakes in here. I am also going to call my sponsor. She might actually have some good ideas if this is gas, hunger,or acid. To all who have their surgeries this week, good luck and remember the saying," this too shall pass".

Day 3 since WLS. Cannot tolerate pain meds. Cannot get much down.
slimmac replied to MetroDetroitChic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Lol, please do not make me laugh it hurts too much. The pornographic turkey sandwich is just about how I feel now. Or would if nausea wasn't so all consuming. Thanks for that bit of boosting. -
Wow, I can hardly believe I am posting about being cold. I am only 6 days post op and I am mostly cold. I am having some problems with hot flashes but at 56 I think it might take me a bit to recover from surgery. I usually wore only a light jacket all winter. Now I have a heavy sweater on all the time.
