I was prescribed Prevacid and also purchase some gas x strips that also helps. I had my surgery on 3/26 and everything went well. I was told to sit up as much as possible and they gave me medicine in the hospital for acid. I was also told if I walk after every hour that, that would help also. My problem is everything I drink seems to make my stomach feel weird.

I'm really having a problem getting this pre-surgical weight off and I'm getting a little frustrated. In Dec 2013 I was schedule for my surgery on 12/9 but due to my abnormal chest xray it was called off but at the time I started my liquid diet on 11/24 and on 12/5 I had lost 18 pounds. This time I started at 304 and I've only lost 6 pds and I'm totally blown and I'm 10 days in. I don't know why I'm not losing weight and I'm afraid that I may experience the same issues when I have my surgery. Has anyone else experience this slow weight lost. My surgery is schedule for 3/26 and I want to know if this means my liver isn't shrinking. I'm scared of having to be cut vs having laproscopically surgery

Hi Starry, I'm on the protein shakes, broth, popsciles and jello.

Sophia #1 Try unjury Protein shakes I find they don't have that medicine taste and it's easy to drink. I hate chocolate but I actually like there chocolate. If you call them they will send you samples of the van, strawb, chicken Soup, and the 2 different chocolate shakes when you make a purchase. Just let them know that you are trying to decide on a Protein shake you can handle. Now I went in to see my surgeon on the 20th of this month and was told it was ok to drink as much shake as I needed to stop me from having headaches this diet still isn't that easy for me I have a lot of head hunger. Make sure you drink your broth and Water that may help also. And if you go to the website they also have recipes like strawberry sorbet mixed with crystal light pink lemondade taste great. I actually had a ruff time also with headaches I increased my Protein intake per my doctor's instructions but am having a trouble time trying to get the weight off. I was schedule for surgery on 12/9 and was canceled due to abnormal chest xray but I lost 18 pds but this time I only lost 6 pds and I'm 10 days in I'm blown don't know what's going on. I hope by the time 3/26 get here I lose another 5 pounds.
