Hello everyone, My name is Barbara and I've been on this journey since 4/2012. I was schedule for my original surgery for 12/9/13 and it was canceled due to an abnormal chest xray from years of carrying around fluid around my heart. Well on my visit to see my surgeon on 12/5/2013 I was told no surgery. Then lost my insurance because of the new Obamacare and insurance. Well it picked back up in 3/1/2014 and I was so excited that this was finally going to happen. After going back to see my surgeon on 3/20/14 I found out someone dropped the ball and ended up having to have a procedure done called EDG OR EGD where they check your stomach and I ended up having an allergic reaction to either the anethesia or from them broken the skin on my lips. Just received a call from the anesthesia's saying not sure if I will get surgery on 3/26. Really feeling down right about now.
I'm hoping when this is all said and done I will have a better quality of life but at the rate I'm going I'm starting to wonder if this day will ever come. I'm feeling some kind of way about being on this liquid diet for another say 2 weeks plus the 3 weeks I will be on liquids after if I have to see the allergist.
I'm overall a happy go lucky person and I don't give up on things easily but because I've come up against all these road blocks I'm just wondering if something's telling me I shouldn't do this. Keep a prayer going for me as this has been a long road.
