I wish I knew lol, but I added in an extra half a protein shake ... I think it helped, but I'm so disappointed the hunger didn't stay away longer:(

So I'm 10 days post op, no problem getting my Protein in, can get most of my other liquids in. For the 1st 8 days, not one bit of hunger. But yesterday and today ... I am HUNGRY... Not starving, but hungry, like I could def add more protein! 9 more days on Protein drinks and shakes... How will I get through this? Anyone else hungry?

I am also tired of Protein drinks and shakes, and have 10 days to go before purée... Sigh! And I'm def starting to feel hunger.. Not reflux, not heartburn ...HUNGER... I am having no problems getting protein in, but problems with other liquids... Just not enough time in a day! Hope your leg goes back to how it's supposed to be! I'm sure that's nerve wracking

I am 9 days post op sleeve with tri - state bariatrics! They are absolutely wonderful! I had no drain, no catheter, no stitches, very little pain, and I am recovering wonderfully , and down 13 lbs. They really care about their patients, the support groups are great! They are a center for excellence! I was scheduled with dr. Kwon, but ended up with dr osterwitch(sp) . All the docs are fabulous there!

Hi everyone! So 9 days out! Had my post op visit with the surgeon. Hr did an X-ray , everything looked good, and I'm down 13 lbs since surgery. Happy about that! Not so happy about 10 more days of liquid protein, but it is what it is! How's everyone else feeling?

I'm drinking a shake now... It's helping! It's def confusing ! I we will get the hand of this eventually lol! Can't wait to move to the next stage!

I'm sure it's partial head hunger which I'm making worse by agonizing over it lol

So today is the first day I felt what I think is hunger! Which really concerns me considering my current diet is strictly shakes . I was ok'd to have a little low sodium chicken broth which helped a little... Hoping to not feel hungry again.., sigh! Getting in all my liquids with no problem.. Could I have stretched my sleeve already?! Ugh,,, can't even go there! Anyone else hungry?

That's awesome! I'm on full liquids another 10 days... Then purée for 2 weeks, then soft for 2 weeks! Amazing how different the surgeons are as far as diets

Can I ask how far out you are? What do you get to have bites of? So jealous lol

So sorry in advance for the TMI... But everything today is just running right through me:( I can only assume it's from the protein?! But boy is it ... Uncomfortable for lack of a better word! Hopefully everyone else is faring well!

The thirst is an issue for me too... I just want to chug ice water... I'm finding I can take a little more at a time ... Thank god! My absolute lifesavers are sugar free fruit ice pops.. They really help with the thirst!!!

Don't have them, just walk .,, I can imagine how annoying they would be ;( how long are you supposed to wear?

So how's everyone doing?! Is anybody starting full liquids tomorrow? I'm feeling pretty good.. Pain is minimal, hunger is pretty nonexistent , I'm thirsty thirsty thirsty, but I'm dealing. I've been on clear liquids.. Only water, SF ice pops, and crystal light ... Not even broth as per surgeon . Tomorrow I'm supposed to start full liquids , but for me, that literally means protein shakes only along with water , sf drinks . I know some people get to have soup, etc on full liquid, but I'm supposed to do this phase another 2 weeks before that! I'm excited I can drink a little faster tomorrow , as I'm do thirsty, and today was the first day I felt so weak, so protein should help with that! How is everyone?

Right when I think the gas is gone.. Bang it pops up again! I just walk it off.. Hopefully it ends soon!

Just another testament to how different surgeons are regarding pretty much every aspect of surgery lol . If you are in pain call the surgeon for sure!

Not sure if that would be a good idea? Can you go get some sugar free ones? They have been life saving for me?

I am so jealous that you get to have coffee.. Yet another difference lol... I miss my coffee.. 2 weeks post op I can have ... I actually gained weight after I got home, but today when I stepped on scale had lost 5 lbs

It's truly amazing to me how different everyone's journey is. Who had pre op diets of 2-3 weeks, who has no pre op diet at all. Who has a catheter who doesn't, and the drains... It just blows my mind how different each surgeon is . Good job on the walking , and enjoy that shower lol

Anyone know how long we need to use incentive spirometer?

I've been passing gas since day 1 thank god lol.. It is such a relief... I am so THIRSTY. Though... Anyone else feel parched?
