  1. Won't lie, not pleasant for me. It's always the worst part of surgery for me. Once it's in I am so relieved that I don't even care about the surgery part. Good luck!
  2. I occasionally have a few of these. At Walmart they are in the deli/produce area.

    Quest bars

I like them (chocolate chip cookie dough is my favorite) but I have found a new favorite protein bar. Combat Crunch from Muscle Pharm are so very delicious! Peanut butter cup one is my fave!

    Loose skin

I'm probably going to need exactly the same thing as you had done. How many surgeries did it take to have it all done? How was the pain? I imagine it's awful. Thanks!

    I cheated....I'm ashamed

Been there. You can't undo what's done so stop feeling bad about it and move on. This is the hardest part. Hang in there!!

Talk Clothes and Style to Me!

Every couple of months I buy a few pieces (I don't work outside the home) and wear them until they are falling off. I love that I am no longer in plus size clothing and am finding it harder to not want to shop shop shop!!! I still have 50-60lbs to go so that stops me from buying too much.

    Peanut butter...oh no!

Oh, that would make me so sad! I love having a spoonful of peanut butter a few times a week. The only thing that makes me feel really sick is greasy food (like onion rings) which is good cause I don't need it anyway and it keeps me from wanting to eat it.

    First meal after sleeve

Oh how I miss the days when 1-2 ounces of food would fill me up! I know it's only because my stomach was swollen and healing from surgery but it sure was nice. Best wishes!!

    Ice cream ice cream!

    Going to try this! Thanks!
  10. Keep walking and taking your pain meds. Day 4 was my turning point. Hang in there, it will get better soon!!
  11. My husband and I had our surgeries 3 weeks apart and both times my mom stayed with our 3 kids (14, 12 & 9). The hospital was a hour away and we were both only there for 1 night. We made sure to send the kids pictures so they could see that we were ok since I knew they were worried about us.
  12. I love this quote...

9 days post op and I am HUNGRY!

I am almost 8 months out and I can definitely eat a whole scrambled egg (plus a couple ounces of refried beans!). Everyone's different though. Best wishes to you!!

9 days post op and I am HUNGRY!

My hunger never went away either. My husbands did for a while but it came back about 4 months or so after surgery. I will say that mine is more manageable than it was prior to surgery but definitely still there.
  15. Are you working out? If not, you may be smaller due to loss of muscle. My husband has lost a lot of muscle and he is also smaller than he was at the same weight 15 years ago.

    BCBS OF TEXAS

Ok, I went back and checked and it was 15 days. I didn't remember it taking that long but guess it did. Hope you hear something soon!!

    SLEEVED IN HOUSTON TX

My husband and I used Dr Garth Davis with UTP. We have both been very pleased with him.

    BCBS OF TEXAS

I don't remember exactly but it was less than 2 weeks. 11 days maybe. Good luck!!
  19. Definitely not! I'm 6 months out and I eat around 1,200 calories a day as well. I'm not nearly as active as you, walk 4+ miles a day, 5-7 days a week. I think you are doing great!!
  20. Idk, I'm 6 months out and I still need a nap.
  21. My husband and I were both sleeved (me September 15, 2014 and him October 6, 2014) and it has been awesome! We are loving our new life! Best wishes to you both!!
  22. I don't know what others nutritionists have to say but mine said that we are to never eat more than 1 cup (8 oz) at one sitting for the rest of our lives. As far as the water goes...have you tried crystal light or watered down G2 Gatorade? Those two helped me and my husband so much (still do!!). Also, lots of ice. I love ice! Good luck to you! I hope that you are feeling better soon!
  23. Yes! I can definitely tell a difference in my appetite that time of the month.
  24. That's awesome! My husband and I were both sleeved as well. Me September, 2014 and him October, 2014. I've lost 61lbs and he's lost 72 I think. He carried most of his weight in his belly and it is gone now. I always tell him how skinny he is! lol I'm sure he loves that! I carry my weight all over so it's going to take a little longer to see a big difference with me. Boo hoo ;-( Oh well, I'm still pretty happy with my progress. Good luck to you all!!
