Stupid q- but did the IV needle hurt?
honeybunz replied to wagyu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Won't lie, not pleasant for me. It's always the worst part of surgery for me. Once it's in I am so relieved that I don't even care about the surgery part. Good luck! -
What kind of crackers can you have four weeks postop
honeybunz replied to grumpy09c1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I occasionally have a few of these. At Walmart they are in the deli/produce area. -
I like them (chocolate chip cookie dough is my favorite) but I have found a new favorite protein bar. Combat Crunch from Muscle Pharm are so very delicious! Peanut butter cup one is my fave!

I'm probably going to need exactly the same thing as you had done. How many surgeries did it take to have it all done? How was the pain? I imagine it's awful. Thanks!

I cheated....I'm ashamed

Been there. You can't undo what's done so stop feeling bad about it and move on. This is the hardest part. Hang in there!! -
Talk Clothes and Style to Me!
honeybunz replied to Beachsprite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Every couple of months I buy a few pieces (I don't work outside the home) and wear them until they are falling off. I love that I am no longer in plus size clothing and am finding it harder to not want to shop shop shop!!! I still have 50-60lbs to go so that stops me from buying too much. -
Peanut butter...oh no!
honeybunz replied to lucky1gg33's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh, that would make me so sad! I love having a spoonful of peanut butter a few times a week. The only thing that makes me feel really sick is greasy food (like onion rings) which is good cause I don't need it anyway and it keeps me from wanting to eat it. -
First meal after sleeve
honeybunz replied to pacshari's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh how I miss the days when 1-2 ounces of food would fill me up! I know it's only because my stomach was swollen and healing from surgery but it sure was nice. Best wishes!! -
Going to try this! Thanks!

Thoughts on your young children visiting you in the hospital
honeybunz replied to NCTRNL's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I had our surgeries 3 weeks apart and both times my mom stayed with our 3 kids (14, 12 & 9). The hospital was a hour away and we were both only there for 1 night. We made sure to send the kids pictures so they could see that we were ok since I knew they were worried about us. -

honeybunz replied to wannaBthinsoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 8 months out and I can definitely eat a whole scrambled egg (plus a couple ounces of refried beans!). Everyone's different though. Best wishes to you!! -
9 days post op and I am HUNGRY!
honeybunz replied to wannaBthinsoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My hunger never went away either. My husbands did for a while but it came back about 4 months or so after surgery. I will say that mine is more manageable than it was prior to surgery but definitely still there. -
Strange body weight shift after 19 weeks
honeybunz replied to Funkle_joe's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Are you working out? If not, you may be smaller due to loss of muscle. My husband has lost a lot of muscle and he is also smaller than he was at the same weight 15 years ago. -
BCBS OF TEXAS
honeybunz replied to heartonmysleeve82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I went back and checked and it was 15 days. I didn't remember it taking that long but guess it did. Hope you hear something soon!! -

honeybunz replied to heartonmysleeve82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I used Dr Garth Davis with UTP. We have both been very pleased with him. -

1200 calories 6 months out
honeybunz replied to mercy96's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely not! I'm 6 months out and I eat around 1,200 calories a day as well. I'm not nearly as active as you, walk 4+ miles a day, 5-7 days a week. I think you are doing great!! -

honeybunz replied to kymmiej11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Idk, I'm 6 months out and I still need a nap. -
My husband and I are BOTH getting sleeved!
honeybunz replied to Newlife@55's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My husband and I were both sleeved (me September 15, 2014 and him October 6, 2014) and it has been awesome! We are loving our new life! Best wishes to you both!! -
This surgery feels like a big mistake.
honeybunz replied to Anthony DeCastro's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know what others nutritionists have to say but mine said that we are to never eat more than 1 cup (8 oz) at one sitting for the rest of our lives. As far as the water goes...have you tried crystal light or watered down G2 Gatorade? Those two helped me and my husband so much (still do!!). Also, lots of ice. I love ice! Good luck to you! I hope that you are feeling better soon! -
More hungry around period?
honeybunz replied to AlanaRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes! I can definitely tell a difference in my appetite that time of the month. -
Hubby 100+ Lost Before and After Pic
honeybunz replied to MizzouFan1's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
That's awesome! My husband and I were both sleeved as well. Me September, 2014 and him October, 2014. I've lost 61lbs and he's lost 72 I think. He carried most of his weight in his belly and it is gone now. I always tell him how skinny he is! lol I'm sure he loves that! I carry my weight all over so it's going to take a little longer to see a big difference with me. Boo hoo ;-( Oh well, I'm still pretty happy with my progress. Good luck to you all!!
