I feel as if i am having somewhat of the same problem! I have had three fills, now i have 6 ccs in my band and i feel little restriction. Last time the doc said i would definently be able to tell but not really!! Whats wrong with me!! i mean was this all for nothing? What to do What to do?? I had my surgery June 12th and since surgery i have lost nothing all my weight was preop!!

I have also noticed that right after a fill i am always tighter and it losens up as the weeks pass. I hear this is normal, but what do we do when we have all the fill can take and it keeps losening up?

I can relate!! I had my surgery June 12th and since the actuall surgery i have only lost about 7 lbs! It is very frustrating i am dieting, excerising etc... So confusing! I have had two fills and am now up to 6ccs with little restriction. My doc does his fills about the same where he fills then i drink. And i have to wait four weeks untill my next fill. I just feel like im wasting time!! He says it just takes time to find the sweet spot and hopefully my third fill will help!! We just need to keep trying and staying motivated!! Hi everyone! it has now been 4 months since i was banded and since my band date i have only lost 7 LBS i have had 2 fills and now have 6ccs in me! i don understand why i am not filling the restriction that i was expecting? Has anyone else every experienced this? And if so how do i deal? :thumbdown:

Yes i am excercising and dieting, and eating less. I dont drink my calories either. confusing! But no this band will work! it has too! ha ha Plakeway thanks for the encouragement, i need to hear stuff like that to keep me going!! thanks guys!

Hello my name is Elizabeth and i am getting banded on June 12th in Evansville Indiana by Dr. Haughn. I havent really had the best eperience with him so far and was just wondering if anyone else has delt with him before? thanks:huh2:

Well since my surgery everything has been fine with Dr. Haughn. Yes the clinic visits can take for ever cus you have to meet with debbie and the ecercise specialist. Im not doing very good weight loss wise. I have had two fills i now have 6ccs and still not much restriction! I just dont understand im no gaining, but not losing!! anysuggestions?? is this normal?

Please i need help or support! Right now i feel like i have failed! Im gonna fail every one. Everyone is counting on this to work, epecially myself, and my parents, who forked out the money do genourously for me to have the surgery! I dont wanna let them down and most important i dont want to let myself down! I am eating less and excercising more!!! I just dont get it! I was banded June 12th, 2009 and weighed 254. Now August 11th i still anywhere between 248-250 depending on the time of day!! Im so discouraged!! i have had one fill. i am at 4ccs. My next one is Sept. 5th. I cant wait. I have PCOS, and have been reading some threads about it. Could this be affecting my weight loss, and if so how? and what can i do about it?? I dont take medicine for my PCOS, just antidepressants foe anxiety! If anyone has any advice or words of encouragment i would much appreciate it!!! Thanks!! :confused2:

Shamrock... PCOS stands for Poly sistic ovarian syndrome. Us who have it do not have a normal matabolism. Our bodies are insulin resistent. It is nothing that you can develop after surgery. Its just a "disease" that a lot of women have that causes weight gain, skin tags, certain discoloartion of the skin, and some even have extra testostresomes or how ever you spell it, lol which can cause hair to grow in weird areas, like the face. Also your period could be irregular. But i was diagnosed awhile ago and tried taking met formin for mine, but it made me very sick to my stomach so i stopped. My doctor says my PCOS is the reason for most of my weight gain. But who knows.....

Angelsma...my ticker is counting from when i began losing my weight for the preop diet almost a year ago. I have only lost like 5 pounds since my surgery.

Ok so ive talked to many people some people follow directions to a T, but thats usually not my style! lol bad i know, but hey this is me and if im gonna do it, im gonna do it my way!! I still follow main rules dont worry!! But im on the pureed diet now!! Just wondering how many followed this really closely? I started eating solids before i was done with my liquid stage, taking it slow and chewing well!! I watch out for problem foods and eat slow, but i have not had any problems!! I get my first fill is July 25!! so excited!! i know i will be much more restricted then!! But just wanted to get some other's input!! Thanks so much!!

Hello can someone please eplain to me these protien bullets? What they look like and what the actual name is? I went to my local GNC and they didnt have anything called protien bullets but the container they were in resembled a bullet. Is this it? lol if so how do i drink them? Like a shot, or mix them? Also is this an ok way to be getting in some protein even though im over a month post opp? I meen i feel like i am gettin as much meat in as i used too before the band, but is it even more important now?? Thanks So much for listening!

Hello, i was banded June 12th. The morning of surgery i weighed 254, i am only down to 248!! and it has been a month!! Whats wrong? Im excercising, and eating less!! Why am i not losing? Will this get better when i get a fill?? I hope so, i feel like im failing at this!! Everyone is like "how much weight have you lost?" and im so embarresed to say "6 pounds" What should i do??

Thank you all very much for your kind words and support, yall have really made me feel better about this. I guess i should look at it as im not gaining!! cus thats what i would be doing otherwise! I just hate my doctor's office, to them its all about weight!! I go in, i weigh, and according to how i do, my doctor is in a good, or bad mood! Its so intemidating!! lol sorry not a very good speller!! but i get my first fill friday the 25th so we will see after that!! Thanks again!!!:seeya:

The day after surgery might be pushing it, since you will still be on pain meds and sore. But if all you have to do is sit there you should be fine. The day after surgery i felt fine but everyones different. Good luck!! Keep us posted!!

The reason i have not posted is because i am scared as hell!! I scared to right anything or ask anything! Everything i say gets taked wrongly!! When i said i do things my way, it was in a since a joke metioning how stubborn i am. I did so well with the pre-op liquids, and farely good with the post opp liquids!! Now im on pureed i guess i just dont see the difference in me chewing to liquid form, and putting it into the blender?? I need help, believe me i know!! Im crying right now, cus yall have made me feel terrible! I dont like how people are talking about me, saying i will not suceed, i know i will! I have came this far! I dont need permission, or validation, all i was looking for was, keep your head up, get back on track and we all mess up!! I just needed to know i wasnt alone!! I was not looking for someone to say yea i cheat so you can too!! I really wish people would stop assuming!! I wish i never asked for help, wished i never posted!! I feel worse now than ever! Yall have made me feel like its too late now, might as well give up!! The worst part is i dont like people being mad at me!! Now i feel like everyone hates me!! I just need help! I dont know what to do anymore! My doc is not the greatest, all they pretty much said was add Water and a blender!! How appealing is that?? I feel so alone and confused!! Ok here it is!!! I am a very kind person and have plenty of friends and no enimies!!! I have been on this Lapband journey for over a year now!! Was banded on June 12th!! Did liquids two weeks before, doc told me clear liquids two days post opp, liquids for two more weeks, and now on pureed untill about the end of July. Im sick of liquids and am haveing an extremely hard time!! I posted becasue somewhere out there i wanted someone to send me help, telling me it will all be ok and i can do this! I know i can, and i am!! I have lost weight, ad am proud of this!! I take things very personal, and am very emotional, i knew people would tell me im wrong, but never expected it to be so straight forward and harsh!! Yea i asked for input not a good bitching!! You are no one to tell me i wasnt ready thank you!! but whatever!! I do follow the no carbonation rules, and drinking rules!!! All im having a heard time is on the pureed!! I need to hear advice, not to be put down!! But thanks for making my day that much better!! Whatever!!!!! Ill be fine!! Thanks anyways tho!!

So far i have not had any problems with straws, just drink the drink and let it sit in your mouth first to get all the air out then you wont have any problems. I have never heard anything about stretching the band just causing gas, but no problems here, yet!! good luck to all!!

Ok so i really cant relate since im not married, but i do have a boyfriend that i have been dating for 3 and half years now. He has been pretty supportive he read all the material i was given and such. But what you have to understand is that he(Your husband) is a man, they are not the brightest creatures. lol but what i di with my boyfriend was asked him if he really wanted to be with me for the rest of our lives, and which he said yea then i said ok your gonna be with my band too. We come together. Maybe if you step back and give him another chance, he will understand whats going on better. Because he has no idea the hell you have gone through, he couldnt he knows nothing about the whole process. So just sit him down and explain, and if he still has the nerve to tell you that than all hell should break lose. My surgeon had that(you didnt try very hard) attitude with me. but he didnt even know me, cus all me pre-opp visits were with another doctor, i just met my surgeon once before surgery, so talk about being mad. He had no idea what i had been through either. It made me feel so bad!! stick in there

HI!! i was banded June 12th and had no complications. The only problem is i feel no restriction and i have no self control. Im not regretting the band at all, but i have already taken it upon my self to eat whole foods, chewing until liquifief of course, but still why did i do this when my doc said liquids only. Did i already screw myself over? Someone please yell at me and tell me how dangeous it is to eat that food now! Im stubborn and need someone to tell me no!!! other than my mom and boyfriend! Please help me stop!!

Ok i went to river yesterday with some friends, we rode around on the boat for a while and it was kinda rough because of the waves and all. Today i am etremely sore in my port area? Could this be because of all the movement yesterday? Could i have done some serious damage? What should i do?
