What does it feel like when your band slips?

You have to wait til the 30th of Sept. Did they at least have you come in and remove the fill? I had a slip in may and my doc got on to me because I did not call him the day of and come in and let him take out the fill. That did not work and I still had to have a revision which just happened on Sept 3rd but am doing good now. Don't wait to long. All sorts of other stuff can happen. My stomach came up throw the band and had to have the doc go in and did not have to replace, but had to remove a small portion of the stomach that would possibly come back through. Mine took so long to get done (the revision due to the insurance company) but my doc. got on it and did what he could till I finally got the insurance company to agree.
  5. I was banded on the 12th:whoo:, was told to try to get a minimum of 50 grams of Protein, and to be sure to try to prevent dehydration. I have been using Isopure Protein drinks and GNC also has another one that has 50 grams in a 15 oz can. It is not to bad and Water. I was told to try to get 4/6 ounces of Fluid every hour. As far as the pain yep it is getting better:clap2:, just tired :notagreeafter walking and so forth. But can tell a difference everyday. And I get to start driving again tomorrow. Sounds like you are doing good.
  6. I had my surgery :clap2:Wednesday and came home yesterday(Thursday), remove bandages and take a shower today (woohoo). The Doctor told me could drive :car:in 48 hrs after coming home if I was not taking any of the strong pain medication. And I am to return to see him in one week to be released to return to work. No lifting over 25 lbs for 60 days, but I do office work so he said I could return after seeing him in a week. Hope this helps, but I am sure that each person is different and depending on if you had any problems during surgery and so forth Have a GREAT DAY! and hope this help a little.
  7. It seems like it has been along time getting here. But after reading some of the other threads, mine was not near as long of a wait. I started my walk the first of May, and everything just started falling into place. Then I had to wait for the Insurance to answer. That was the longest wait. I recieved the answer that they would pay on Tuesday, and the Dr. scheduled the surgery for the next Wed. Which will be the 12 of Sept.:whoo: I am still having some second thoughts and the voices in the back of my mind. "If you want to loose weight you can do it without this." But I know that if I could have I would have. I am so glad that I found this site. It has been and I am sure will continue to be a GREAT help. :clap2: THANKS!
