I really have thought of this post a TON in the last two months but things have been CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! I am proud to report that I am down 7.5 pounds since boot camp begun. This total includes a week of sheer stress because we had our annual convention and I had a TOn of responsibility. Then VACATION!! I am SOOOO proud. Thanks for all the support. I love this thread. It makes me laugh and motivates me.

For not being a Dr you did a GREAT job on what a PB is...THANK YOU! I never understood it. GREAT JOB!

I just can't get it! I went and got my fill last week. I am now at 2.4. I had a lot of restriction the first few days but I would sit down and push it. I knew I was full but I felt the need to keep eating and eat past the band. WHY DO I DO THIS???? Why am I sabatoging myself? I began working out with a trainer today. Then I went to lunch and ate a lot and then I went and got Taco Cabana on the way home. What the H*LL????? I have been taking Paxil and it has been making me SO tired. I could sleep forever. I am going to try and get some Wellbutrin-which is suppose to take some of the drag off of the Paxil. I just have zero energy and am just not very motivated. I think I was frustrated that I did't lose any weight after the first week on my fill. I just don't get why I do this to myself. What is it??? To those that have succeeded...did you have down days? Weeks? What keeps you going? Thank you for letting me vent. I am GRATEFUL for LBT. ANy support is welcome!!!

I FINALLY (after 4 fills and 6 months) hit my sweet spot! MY sweet spot is 2.4. It seems really high to me. So...when did you hit your sweet spot?

GEEZ- everyone has such great advice! For me anxiety is what causes the emotional need to eat. Journaling helps although it is difficult to stop in the moment. My paxil helps too!!! ALOT! Come on lapband and vent and TAKE CARE OF YOU!

I WILL SIGNIFICANTLY cut down on high calorie/high fat foods. I WILL make better food choices for me. I WILL FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today I will do three things towards the better me--> (1) measurements and new sig (2) clean my upstairs (3) not eat any chips at lunch today with the girls at a TEX MEX (my fav) place

antidepressants/psych meds?

Does anyone that takes Paxil know if it levels off? I do feel the lack of highs but it has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased my anxiety and I do feel a lack of food desire which is AWESOME. Any one know if the highs will come back? -
JEssie Bear, how long did it take you to finally get good restriction? I am about 6 months out and have only lost 20 pounds.

Thank you so much for posting the information from Sandy. I do agree that Dr. O and Dr. M have done well by Michelle and me for that matter. They have always been 100% available.

Will you ask him about all of the mexican erosion stories while you are there and let us know what he says?

I just wanted to mention my fill doctor, Dr. Garwood. I was banded in Mexico and he does my fills. He is really great and so is his staff. He is in College Station which is a hike for me but worth it. (I am in Austin) I know those of us badned outside the US are always looking for options. Just thought I would throw this one out. I will recieve no coompensation or anything for this referral. Just trying to be helpful. Someone through LBT gave me his name originally. THANK GOODNESS! His number: (979) 485-0395

Hoiw much does she charge? I go to someone in College Station also but he only does it during regular work hours which means I have to take off work. I really like him but Sundays would be GREAT! Thanks!

THAT is FANTASTIC!!! Lets see some photos!! -
I was self pay. I was SO nervous and very anxious about the situation but I don't regret it. I have not lost near as much as I wish I would have but I know I am going to as soon as I can get correctly adjusted. PLUS I have not gained and I binge much less which means less guilt and more authetic living. Please pm me if you have any questions. GOOD LUCK! Lindsay

I made a frappachino with it. I put in one of the low calorie starbucks drinks and it is really good. STarbucks drink is 110 calories plus the protein shake so be careful.

I finally hit below 200...YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 199.5 This has taken me SO long. (I had surgery on June 7.) I started at 222.5. SO I have lost 23 pounds. MUCH less than I would have wanted by now but I am SO excited. And I am actually glad it has taken awhile because I have been able to get used to the new system. Frankly, I have had some SERIOUSLY stressful times (like not talking to MOM for several weeks and fighting with her in a way I never had before) and yet I didn't gain and was not able to turn to food like I used to, THANK GOODNESS. This is a BIG success for me and it has been HARD! Having to sit through anixety and stress without eating has really been a struggle but I have done it and I (hopefully) am on the other side of the pain for now. However, when the rain/pain comes again (life is just that way), I will be ready to conquer the stress and not turn to food in an unheathly way. So..on to the next goal. Thanks so much to everyone on this board. I SERIOUSLY could not do it without you!

what have you done because you were embarrased of your weight?
lins12 replied to lovecats85's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I didn't go to my high school reunion even though I am smashing success because of my weight. I have SO many other success but the weight was the one that meant the most. The good news is I used a trip to Vegas as my reason for not going. I got to see Elton John. The sad thing is I wished I would have gone. BUT ELton John was GREAT. -
VInesqueen, PLEASE let us know what your md says. I am VERY interested. THANKS!

I know I should probably post this on the fill section but I am feeling like a rebel today. I have heard severla people mention that their fills kicked several days or weeks later. How long did yours take if it kicked in later? I was filled to 2.0 last Thursday and I am still not feelings it. I can eat 2 small pieces of chicken and a wendy's side salad and still need/want more.

I just love reality tv and weight loss so this show makes me super happy. BUT I wanted to note for those of us that complain about our slow weight loss or those of us that may have expectations that are not inline with reality. T The people on this show have trainers and work out all day long and (for woman in particular) they almost never lose more than 5 pounds and more often lose about 3. This was a reality check for me. My expectations are WHACK! Happy Tuesday!
