Feeling "satisfied"?
O-Town Body Rock replied to squeaker31's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Im 4 weeks out and I dont feel necessarily full or satisfied either...just sort of like food is building up in my throat. I dont know, its weird. I dont feel hungry but i dont feel full. Hell i dont know! I do know this...now I eat more, to feed my body and not because Im hungry and just want to eat everything in site. I have yet to lean back at the table and say...wow that Soup was dee-lish!! Or those 2 teaspoons of Jello hit the spot! -

To the folks who had their surgery in the US and comment on the Mexico forum...
O-Town Body Rock posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
...when you read about someone who chose to have their surgery performed in Mexcio and unfortunately had complications, please try not to leave condescending comments about how you would never chose to go to a foreign country to have surgery or how you value your life too much to put the cost of surgery before your health, etc, etc. We are all trying to get to the same place with our health and have a common goal but just because we chose a different path than you does not lessen how we feel about ourselves, our families and so on. Alot of us who opted to go to Mexico did not have the option to use health insurance or were rejected by some of the same companies you used for your surgery. Not trying to cause drama at all and I'm trying to make sure I do not come across as trying to start something but I just had to put it out there. *Sleevers Unite* -
Anyone had splotchy rash after surgery?
O-Town Body Rock replied to wannabesleeved21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had it! Mine was a reaction from the tape cuz the rash is all in rectangle shapes. It was horrible and my skin is still healing from it. -
Has anyone eating food before they were supposed to? Or drink before or after eating? I have. Now, I am getting nervous
O-Town Body Rock replied to nmr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a few days shy of 5 weeks and I have a hard time with soft foods. I am going between soup and little amts of soft food but It's hard to swallow. And I am one that has a hard time with not drinking after a meal. I need to do better. Anyway, be careful. Watch what you eat and take your time with eating. -
I can say now, 4 weeks post op, that i cant wait for the compliments! But...and a big but I may add (no pun intended) I do not look forward to having to BS people about how I lost my weight. Only one person knows I have had surgery and that is the husband. I H-A-T-E people being all up in my business and I am a very private person (except for on Bariatric Pal) and I dont know what to do. I was the popular girl in my hometown and I have not been back there in years and no one knows how big I am. When I had my tummy tuck years ago, it was a big thing around town and random people would come up to me and comment on how I went to extremes, yadda, yadda, yadda. But i digress. Anyway, I also hate the, "you are getting too skinny" or "your head looks huge now" or "you look sick" comments and that is going to piss me off!

Born and raised Floridian right here!! I LOVE Florida and if I ever have to leave, it WILL NOT be anywhere cold. I do not know how to live in the cold. When it gets cold down here in Orlando, (which is around 60-65 degrees to me), i get totally confused on what clothes to wear. My usual cold outfit is tights, a hoodie sweater with a tank top and flip flops.

How much to lose before plastics
O-Town Body Rock replied to deedadumble's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
@@Hynita How are the results of your TT and aug after you lost the weight and got down to 155? Do you have excess skin in the tummy? Do the girls hang a little bit more? I am going to need a tummy tuck revision from a tuck done in 2005 before I gained all of this weight. -

Tummy tuck--what did u pay?
O-Town Body Rock replied to NothingUpMySleeve's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I am going to have to get a tummy tuck revision since I put on so much weight since my first one. The first one did not remove all of the stretch marks from my pregnancy but hopefully the revision will! Actually, if the boobs deflate like I think they will as i shed these pounds, Im just going to opt for the Mommy Makeover. -

Dr Ramos Kelly vs Dr Garcia, in Tijuana?
O-Town Body Rock replied to MamaC's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
With Dr.Garcia, they give you an unopened brand new pack of thigh high compression stockings to put on along with your robe and also brand new slippers. That was the first they gave me when I got to my room. I took the compression stockings with me when I was discharged from the hospital and washed them and wore them on the flight home. (I took a picture as I was waiting for my surgery. I traveled alone so I was trying to pass the time.) I felt pain as I was being awakened from surgery (mostly gas pain in left shoulder) but after they gave me some meds, I was fine. I did puke up some blood (not alot, like tbsp full) right after surgery but thanks to @@Holly Martin 79, she said to expect that. If you havent read it already, check out my sleeve story. the link is in my signature. -
