My surgery was recorded and I have it on a flash disk or whatever those little things are called. You can ask your Dr if you can have a copy of your surgery.

I am not implying my infection wouldn't have happened in the US, not for one second!! I'm not saying lack of gloves caused my infection. Just saying if lack of masks scare you, my nurses didn't wear gloves, quite a bit. She wore them doing the initial set up of my IV but not when plugging it to take a shower or when emptying my drain. Times when she came in contact with my bodily fluids. So it is the nurses who were putting themselves at risk.

I went to the ER when I had a very high fever the night I got home. Get phone numbers before you leave Mexico and have plans for what you will do when you get back to the US.

Travelmego- masks are in issue for you? How about gloves?? My nurses rarely wore gloves!! Taking my IV plug in and out, emptying my drain...no gloves. And their gloves, when worn, did not fit. I am still planning on writing about my experience but I have an infection in my right wrist where my IV was placed and I can't even turn my car key, let alone type. I am in here using swipe with my phone.

My instructions say to leave them open but I'm not comfortable doing that. They aren't glued or anything. Just open cuts.

I am alive. I have an infection in the spot where my IV was placed. I'm still in a ton of pain in that spot, have a low grade fever and it's swollen. I was given a high dose of antibiotics in my butt and a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds.

I'm in the ER. My surgery was in Mexico and I have no way to get a hold of my surgeon. I guess this is a prime example as to why not to go to Mexico.

I'm home now. When I had my last baby, they attempted to put it there also but it didn't work. It's swollen now. My surgery was in Mexico.

No, I'm on my way home now. I asked them not to put it in my wrist because that's a horrible spot for me.

Wow thank you so much for all of this. I am so thankful and you have answered so many of my questions...a big one i have for you, is it difficult to consume as many calories as you need to for your workouts? I haven't seen that addressed at all on here. Thanks.

I needed to read this. I had my surgery on June 9th and I don't feel great. I can't explain why but I don't.

I want to have a bomb a$$ body not just be thin. I have always worked out and now I plan on doing it to the nines with my sleeve. I want to look good with clothes on or off. I've never been small. My lowest adult weight was 143. I am 5'6" and I was in a size 10 sometimes an 8. But I loved that size and my body. I can't imagine being a 6 or a 4. That would be crazy for me. But I will let you know. I was under 200 on the day of my surgery.

I am on my iPad but when I get home, and on my computer, I will post about my experience here.

I'm going to go with real hunger since I haven't eaten since Saturday. Sunday was clear liquids which I are chicken broth and a Gatorade 2. I've had 2 Popsicles.

I'm doing very well, thanks. I'm a little sore and I'm hungry but treated well. I miss my family so much and I'm bored. But all is well. My stomach feels like I've been doing ab work for days.

I'm in Tijuana alone now. There's nothing to it.
