The single serving serving drink flavors like crystal light have always given me diarrhea. I don't even plan to try them again. I can do unsweetened kool aid with splenda. I've never heard of anyone else having that problem though.

I felt that way yesterday gixxergirl. Today is a little better. Liquid Tylenol 3 is nasty. Have to take nausea medication just to get it down. Will be glad when I can just take a pill. My little shitzpoo is stressing coz she can't sit on my lap. Maybe in a few more days.

A chart is a good idea. My dtr came home from college to stay with me tomorrow. She's starting nursing school fall so it will be good practice for her.

Just got home from the hospital. Had to stay an extra night because of pain and blood pressure. Sore but doing ok. Never had high blood pressure before so not sure where that came from, but it came back down so all is well.

Been awake since 4am. Too excited to sleep. Have a few minutes to drink some water so I'm not too dehydrated to start the IV. Needles are the worst part for me. Once I get past that I'm good to go.

Tomorrow is our big day. No nerves yet, just excited to start a new life. We will all share a new birthday. And how fitting to be the day after Easter, the celebration of all new life.

I'm getting sleeved on Monday. My Dr first said to plan for 2-3 weeks but my boss advised my to request 6 weeks of medical leave. It's much easier to get approval to go back early than for extra time off. But I am blessed with excellent medical and short term disability insurance, so that also influenced my decision.

Pre-op diet has been rough. Work provided pizza for lunch today, but there I was with 3oz of lean ham & a cup of yogurt. Haven't done much else but I have a 3 day weekend to get ready. Hospital is only 10 minutes away, so no need to pack much.

After waiting what seemed like forever, things finally got real this week. Had pre-op visit & labs yesterday. Started diet today. Also had to stop anti-inflammatory meds. Had a crazy week at work, too. Woke up with a killer migraine today. Could be related to no caffeine. Sitting here with the heating pad on my back & an ice pack on my head. Hoping it gets better soon.

I'm April 21st, too. Been waiting over 10 years for this, but insurance wouldn't cover it. Hubby got a job last fall with the U.S. government, so now I get my chance. I'm 55, married. Son is married with 3.5 children. Dtr is sophomore in college & going to nursing school in the fall. Dtr-in-law is a nurse also. I work full time. Started this process last fall. Got approval about 3 weeks ago. Start pre-op diet April 10th. I guess I've been lucky that my family & friends have been very supportive. Hubby wasn't thrilled at 1st, but respects my decision. I've had 2 back surgeries& also have RA & fibromyalgia. I'm hoping weight loss will help those issues. Top weight was 280, currently at 275. So now just waiting for time to pass.

I'm scheduled for April 21st. Could have done earlier. Darn tax season. Dreading the pre-op diet more than the surgery. Mine seems more restrictive than others I've seen.
