Thank you all so, so, so much for your responses. I do know A couple reasons why I emotional eat. When my two children are to much for me to handle I eat. I cant leave or call someone to come and let me go for a walk. Another thinking is , when I was at my first nut visit after my phase 5 was cleared I asked her how many calories I should have at that time with my sleeve. She said no more that 800. When I know I was getting way more, like 1100. I was still losing. I have an active lifestyle as far as work, my kiddos, ect. My surgeon said " as long As is good nutritious food, protein first then veggies don't worry" But, after my nut said 800, I ultimately felt like a failure. It has been chiseled in my mind ever since. I can't shake the notion of failure since that time. No matter what they tell me, it's that one time I can't shake -

I wish I could eat little bites and be full -
Maybe you have a couple tonsil stones. Those wreak!! Just like what your talking about. Google tonsil stones, they are nasty little buggers
-
You look fantastic! Those leggings are awesome
-
Yes!!! They are amazing!! I use them too. You have to keep on them though. The process took a while. But, I look forward to my 4 cases every month. Plus opti-source vitamins and scar cream. Zero out of pocket and totally worth it

It seems like a 50/50 chance. The diahrrea part doesn't bother me as much as the greater chance of dehydration due to loose stools and diahrrea. We shall see Today I had to cancel my surgery for next Friday due to not enough worked hours for FMLA. I'm about 200 hours shy. I am an LNA and lift more than 15 lbs and that's what his restriction is for 3 weeks. Soooo, I hope everything stays the same till then. Thanks for all the responses. They are all very helpful

There's a good chance my gallbladder has to come out( I'm 8 mo post op). But I e been reading from different web sites it slows weightloss down dramatically. Is that true?
-
Thank you I can't wait for the diahrrea lol

What We Don't Want To Hear
tfarr replied to ProjectMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really need to get creative like that. -
Has anyone had one of these for the gall bladder? How accurate are they? I'm having one friday. I was told it is a long test up to 4 hours.
-
I just finished the scan about an hour ago. I had no cramping or nausea. Some gas, but That was it. She said the slower you push in the medicine that makes the gallbladder contract the less of a chance you have with the side effects of the contractions. After looking at the video of all the comprised pictures hat were taken she said " I'm not the one diagnosing, but I see very little contraction of your gallbladder" Sooo, I'll be waiting patiently For my surgeons office to call. Thank you for all your responses

Still taking acid reducers?
tfarr replied to pattimomof3nj's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am not familiar with the post-op follow ups with the Mexico surgeons, but seems like you may benefit from a local Bariatric surgeon that's credible. Sounds like your suffering way more than you have to. Im sure there are lots of people from GA on here who can recommend a few good ones. Good luck -
Is it painful? The scan?

tfarr replied to pattimomof3nj's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Whoa Nelly!! That's a lot of Zantac! Lol What does your surgeon say? I've read if people start getting a lot of heart burn there more likely to have a revision of some sort? Not sure, it's just what I heard -
How many ounces of meat can you eat at 1 year post op?
tfarr replied to miller1109's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I eat he same amounts as you. Chicken and turkey like 5-6 oz. I to feel I can fit a lot more than the average sleever I'm 8 months post-op and seem to fit a lot, I eat to fast still. I'm at a slow point now as far as losing goes, I have about 20lbs to go. I too rely on protein shakes, 3 premier protein shakes daily. Yikes! Lol -
December Surgery Thread - we rock!
tfarr replied to bellabloom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is doing Fabulous!!!! My surgery was December 2 and I down 84 lbs. I've hit a low point in my depression so the weight has stopped coming off. My own fault , but I'm the only one who can change that. Hoping to get my last 20 off before my 1 yr -
I'm really looking forward to the U/S. This on and off pain is for the birds. I hope It does give us more energy. I wish you luck on sleeve success!

Anyone felt like a failure for giving in to head hunger?
tfarr posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been struggling for 2.5 months with giving in due to not caring anymore. I wake up caring, but then screw up and just say forget it! I feel back to my old ways prior to surgery. I always told myself while going through the process " I'll never eat that way again! This is it and I will follow to a T!" Now I could cry because of my lack of commitment. Please go easy on me -

tfarr replied to LumpySpacePrincess's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
