Wow! Great job! Your daughter looks so proud of you. Keep Up the good work Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hi! In the beginning of my journey I got in touch with INSURE nutrition to see if I qualified for no cost protein shakes, scar cream and vitamins. They did all the leg work and I ended up receiving all of that ( 5 cartons with 18 in each. Premier protein) for about a year. It then stopped and I was bummed. Because we all know how expensive it can get. Well, they contacted me 2 weeks ago. They check with former customers ins. plans to see if they re-qualify. I did! It is so worth the time spent going back and forth with them. I received the shakes, bariatric vitamins and a new folic acid supplement.

@@tammylou I went to their website, called, gave them my info and they did the calling to the ins company. BUT, you have to be right on their tail. Otherwise like jane13 says they will take their time. After a while I said enough is enough. I asked for the manager and in a week I got my items. Everything moves faster when you ask for the manager lol

How many calories are we supposed to eat per day at 2months?
tfarr replied to theladyslipper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I actually asked this question around 5 months post op. I got mixed answers and felt ashamed that I was getting around 1000 and was told here that I should "only eat 500-700". It really messed me up and I instantly felt like a failure. I was losing at a steady pace with the 1000 calories I was consuming. I went to a follow up with my surgeon the next day and he told me how impressed he was that I had already lost 65% of my expected weightloss. I then asked him about my calorie consumption and what I was told on here. He said " your metabolize is speeding up and as long as I'm making smart food choices ( getting my protein and veggies and keeping things balanced) the calories aren't an issue. I was relieved, but also felt like a failure because of what I was told on here. I'd contact your nutritionist or dr to see what's right for you. We're all different. There is fantastic support on here and I have gotten the best answers I could ever ask for. This is a place for help and you will defiantly get it But this question I should have directed straight to my surgeons office. -

You must be soo pumped!!! I understand the nerves! The pain was minimal. I compared the pain to trying to move after a C-section. Because of the muscle pain. Other than that, it was a breeze and I never used any pain medicine. But that is me. I'm sure there are others that have very different out Comes. You take care and God bless. We'll see you on the other side - meaning the post-op side lol

I'm post op 7 months and my dr is sending me for an abdominal ultrasound for my gallbladder. I was just wondering, for the people who have had them out post-op, did you have mid abdominal distention? I have been feeling sort of swollen about 2 inches above my navel. Also, super fatigued. I had a filling done on Tuesday and fell asleep 4 times lol That's pretty sleepy and not normal for me. Any responses appreciated. I couldn't find any related posts prior to writing this Thank you

December Surgery Thread - we rock!
tfarr replied to bellabloom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The seasonal depression I get has got a hold of me and my appetite. I've been fluctuating from 160-168 for the past month. I need to get focused again. But otherwise great! 82 sure pounds gone. Congrats to all my December sleevers!!! Merry Christmas to all -
@@HopeandAgony I just had it out Friday 11/6. I don't go back to see the surgeon till 12/3, only because he is the one who did my Sleeve and I have my 1 year visit. He told me if I was feel poorly and wanted to come in sooner for me to call, or to call with any questions or concerns I may have. I spoke to the Nurse practitioner today she said its normal to have some post operative nausea but to monitor it for two days and call if it gets worse. I'm glad someone can relate to my misery with all of this.

I am so nauseous now. Day 4 and it's the worst yet. I've had more issues with this than my sleeve. I had zero nausea or any complications from my sleeve

Water weight after lap gall bladder removal
tfarr posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my gallbladder removed yesterday and seems I've put on 4 lbs. I gather it's from the bags on saline that I was given. Is this what usually happens? Thank you -
I got mine out yesterday. Come to find out my gall bladder just wasn't functioning like it should have. Now, I'm a little over 24 hours post op and trying to be a warrior, but because that I'm resting in bed lol Thank you all for your help

Hi there I am 10 months Post op and I have derailed big time. I've pretty much given up on all the reasons I got sleeved to begin with. I have stopped exercising and eat sweets constantly. Emotional eating is awful, I need to be stronger but just give in. I'm failing at a fast rate and have little control. If there's some good advise to wake me up it is appreciated and welcome. Tough or not, I need it! ❤️ -

Fluids have never been an issue. I drink about a gallon of water a day. No lie, I am always drinking. Before surgery I was like that. -

My two children are 2.5 and 4. I could try and take them, but, what I need is to get away from my stressors lol Next time it happens I will. See how it goes. Number wise I am happy, but, mirror wise no. I need to do a lot of strength training. I feel I've lost some muscle. I need to make a point of going to the gym. It would slip me mood wise and body wise. My hormones are all out of whack too. Life huh? Lol
