@@Valentina My Dr FINALLY called me back today around 1:30p. He's cutting my Pristiq by half and introducing Prozac. I've never taken that. Fingers crossed. I'll be doing this regimen till I see him again in sept Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I was on depakote a while back, that was a true weight gainer for me. I looked up what seems to be a wonderful Psych ARNP that does med management close to me. I'm going to call my ins company to see if they cover second opinions, which I'm sure they do. Anthem so far has been awesome. Who knows, maybe my doc will call in the Prozac and I'll give that a whirl to add. But, I truly want off this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thank you so much ❤️ Your words are like a breath of fresh air. I am now searching the Internet for top Psych. Docs in NH. I don't know why I seem to just settle with one answer. Maybe because they know more than I do lol Thank you ever so much Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

He's tried to give me Welbutrin as a booster, but apparently it was a no go he thought. So off of both of those and now pristiq. A woman I haven't worked with in about 2 months said tonight " looks like you've gained weight huh?" I want to cry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am so sorry to hear about your losses. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, also a big hug❤️ I tried adding Wellbutrin to my meds and I loved it, except I had non stop creepy crawly legs. I'd get home from work at midnight, be up till 2 doing what ever i could to sleep and then be up with my kids at 6. Not a whole lot of sleep. Other than that it was good. I got off to switch to Pristiq, I'm not too happy with it, I may switch back to that again Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Over 40 havent had surgery yet.... Concerned
tfarr replied to Goldyloqs's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I just turned 40 June 15 and all I think about is " baby, baby, baby!" Lol I have a 5 and 3 yo. But I really want one more. The only thing stopping me is I had PPD worth both of mine. It was terrible. When the best part of life is having a baby, I was depressed and hated myself for it, I still feel tremendous guilt. But, it had a major impact on my life I can't bare to put my family through that or myself for that matter Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hi everyone , I just had my 18 month post-op labs done and my B1 shot up from 157 to 203 in 6 months. Is hat normal? I read it can be caused by bariatric surgery. But normally people are deficient in both the sleeve and the bypass. Not sure if I need to worry or wait to hear from my surgeon. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I applied at Insure nutrition. They have a website. The one thing is, you need to follow up with them after their initial call. They will call your insurance and do all the leg work. But are pretty slow at following up. I called many times to see if my surgeon signed the scripts my insurance covered, ( the scar cream and Vit D ) then they include the shakes for free. But! If you seem to get no where calling and checking up on your status, call and ask for the manager! And explain your frustration. That's what I did, and magically I got my shakes in a week lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Experienced Sleevers - Tolerances/Intolerances
tfarr replied to brookebonic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Believe it or not I tolerate every little thing. I wish it was different. From the start nothing has ever bothered me. I was hoping lots of stuff I loved would. But no. I had no issues from surgery, ended up liking tomato Soup and tolerating every dang thing Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Some say they never think about it and have to remind themselves to eat. While others ( like myself) fight head hunger. And honestly it sucks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have a hard time controlling my emotions and eating about 1-2 weeks before my period. Do any of you have the same problem? Emotions, I understand. But the eating? It's like I totally give up on everything I have learned and just eat what I want. The after I start I'm back on track. It drives me crazy! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

A year out from surgery, what is your daily diet consist of?
tfarr replied to Gail Ann's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Lizardlady, 40 carbs??? That's bananas. From what I understand, the human brain needs at least 60 to properly function. Maybe in the beginning when we're not able to ingest so much, but that is a very low amount Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Thank you for the hug I haven't seen my NUT in almost 6 months. I have a 18 month follow up in June with both her and my surgeon. My exercise use took a back seat. I need to make time in my daily routine, to do some form of exercise. I have no idea why I do this to myself. Next week when I see my therapist I'm gonna ask her to help me figure it out Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
