My gut is PISSED OFF! 2 month old newbie needs help! Offer some keto guidelines?
tfarr replied to GeTnBackuP's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
1/2 at a time? I must be a hog then, because I eat the Oikos 100 calorie one with chia seeds lol I’d like to just eat 1/2 lol -
We are 2 peas in the same pod hunny[emoji173]️ It’s hard when we regain. And mentally it’s crushing. My hours are 9-1am where I am the most out of control. I work 3-11 and manage to fool my coworkers with my healthier choices. Most of the time I want what I bring, but when I get home my family is all asleep and I’ve got the reigns. Sad actually [emoji24] I was getting pissed at the “ do the pouch reset”. Really? To me that was a bunch of BS,,we don’t have a pouch. But, I eat way to fast. Nursing and a 1/2 hour break? Ya right lol so I’ve eaten fast for ever. Two young kids? Ya, I eat at the counter lol. But I tried slowing down, it’s actually working. For some reason my excuses out weigh my wants for weighloss. But I said “ I’ll start with a salad a day Jan 1”. It’s been nice, so I’m hoping it will all fall into place. One day at a time. Keep us posted, I’m sure I’ll be back to post[emoji173]️ Best of luck, Tracy

Every morning dumping syndrome

I wish it happened to me, I’ve been super constipated since surgery 2014 -
Hi guys! I am 3 years out on 12/2/17. This has been the hardest year so far. I have lost my will order over emotional eating and have put in 15 lbs over the year. As far as the pouch reset? I’m not sold on that.

3 years post op. Need a buddy or mentor to keep me accountable.
tfarr replied to Jamie Beard's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Holy moly! I feel like I’m reading my own story. I never had issues with eating or drinking either. Never an issue with food. Never lost the taste for things I like. I too can graze all day, AND I drink premier protein shakes lol My surgery was 12/2/14. I’ve gained between 8-14 lbs given any day. Up and down I go. I’m In a funk too. We can work together on it [emoji109]. I literally just went to the gym 3x two weeks ago. I hadn’t been to the gym 3x in a year! Lol That following week my 5 yo daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed and it’s been a nightmare so I haven’t gone to the gym since nov. 13 I think. Does the shake keep you full for more than an hour? When I drink mine I feel it just slides right out of my banana ( that’s what I call my sleeve lol). Do you hit the gym at all? I’m totally gonna try this week. Let’s push through the rest of this year together [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] -
@kimmbo sounds like you have had a lot of things tugging at you. God bless your family. I can’t imagine going through that. Your not a failure. Like most of us on here ( some won’t admit it [emoji51]) but, we eat when we are stressed. I had my sleeve done 12/2/14. Believe me, I wish I had the swelling back! Lol I emotionally eat, Ive currently gone off the beaten path and have bad food choice days ( more often than not). If you have time, seek out a good councilor who specializes in food addiction or just addiction in general. I have one and it helps. Not for everyone, but, between the passing of your brother and your poor Mum being sick it wouldn’t hurt right? For me, having an outlet, time away from my stresses is a huge relief. I wish I had more to say. Let’s hop on the same boat and ride this river together. Your not a failure..... your human[emoji173]️

Help! I ran out of Bariatric vits before I got a chance to order them. What would be a good substitute till they arrive?

I just saw “Vitamin patch” What’s that like? I tend to be a little leery of anything “ Patchy”

I'm in a lull right now with my weight. I've been at the same weight for about 9 months now. Which is fine because I'd rather be at 162 than at 245 when I started. I'm just not giving it my all and I'm just sad about it. I need to get going, but am having a hard time . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

That was a cool article. But that one rhythmic gymnast looked like rolled her toes under and then stood in them. Poor gal

Back to basics and really doing it!
tfarr replied to chiquitabananaz14's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I fell way off the wagon, after getting on this thread I though it would be a motivator, nope, I’m up to 174 from 168. When the hell am I gonna take responsibility? I went to the gym today for the first time in almost a year. I need to stop my pity party and kick my own ass! Let’s do it girls! Screw out negative self talk! Fingers crossed -
Long term vsg implications
tfarr replied to Deactivatedfatgal's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Me too, not until the sleeve I had GERD. Had the gallbladder removed a year later and I still get it. Mostly when I take vitamins -
Hi everyone! I have been getting constipated for years. Since the sleeve, it’s been way worse. I’ve had to take some sort of laxative.... mirilax, senna, exlax, things like those. Well, since Oct 1 I have had 2 small Bowel movements. In the past 3 days I’ve taken 8 doses or mirilax ( a few of those mixed with metamucil), fiber pills and the other night a suppository. With NO results besides a small BM. I’m in no pain, but, am nauseous and super bloated and distended. I don’t think I have an obstruction, but I do think I need to call my PCP and surgeon Monday. I drink enough, I get enough fiber, I am active everyday. The last thing I have an have not used yes is an enema. Lucky me right lol Anyone experience this?

I am sure many of us are food addicts. This finally clicked with me. A response from a person about my head hunger really turned on a light for Mexican she said " I've heard head hunger is addiction". I don't know why, but it really turned on a light for me. I knew " sure there must be some sort of food addiction", but it never was a serious thought. Just kind of a " yeah, ok blaa blaa blaa" I am a recovering alcoholic, going on 10 years and I quit smoking the same time. I kicked my peanut butter addiction in March and now..... a food paddiction I am no longer in denial about. I'm sorry if this makes anyone upset that I've been in denial, like, who goes into weight loss surgery denying a food addiction. I'm almost 3 years post op and my head hunger was from day one. If I think of how many times I actually feel hunger.... 2 times a day. I need help I order to work on this. Not sure where to start.

Mt first post in the post op section.
tfarr replied to GassyGurl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The best feeling! The first post on the Post op section! I remember the last visit to my surgeon before surgery and the receptionist said " I'll see you on the other side" That was awesome ! -
I hoped to not feel hungry and like others " had to remind myself to eat". Apparently, I must be part of the percentage of people who always think of food. Head hunger 24/7. That's my struggle, and apparently always will be. But, I'm almost 3 years out and have stayed the same for a long time.

How long do we have to sip, sip, sip?
tfarr replied to Buklova's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had a problem with this. I've always drank TONS of water. So little sips were a struggle for me at first. I'm 2.5 years out and guzzle once again. -
