I have Anthem BC/BS hmo blue New England. It only took about a week. What s money saver this is

No Amnio,It puts the baby at too much of a risk fluid loss. What does the Doc want to do that for? To check for issues I'm sure. But, either way, you'll love your baby. I had my daughter at 36, my son at 35 and they told me he had a soft marker for Down's syndrome. I was scared at first but , I realized if it's meant to be its meant to be. He is my child and I will do anything and everything to have my child He was born with out Down's syndrome. But our neonatologist said I had a 1:27 chance odd having a child with Down's. It doesn't matter,, the only thing that mattered was my son and me wanting to give him kisses all the time

I am super stoked! My ins did cover it!! I told them I drank 2 shakes a day, I should have said 4 lol

Huge Winter Storm Predicted Same Day As Sx
tfarr replied to Samantha&Sunshine's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope not. I had a planned C-section when hurricane Sandy hit NH and was not canceled. The only thing I would worry about it hospital staff making it In. We're in for 2 feet and my DON said she would come get me if I couldn't get my car out lol -
I'm about 7 weeks post op and on Phase 4 of my diet. I realized last week I'm barely eating a thing. Tons of protein shakes and water. I'll have yogurt, string cheese, scrambled eggs, chicken salad that's it. I usually have three shakes food once maybe twice a day. I eat fast and am working on pacing myself. I drink tons of water. I'm afraid I drink so much my sleeve will stretch So I'm afraid to eat food because I don't want to ( In my mind) stretch it

Ah! Penny! Why?!?!?(My 600 lb life)
tfarr replied to Kramer17's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just finished watching her up date. Honestly, this is going to be bad and judgmental. Is she serious??? Her poor son and husband. Talk about denial! Watching her was like watching g a heroin addict choose the drug over their children. Her food addiction is out of control. I'm sure she loves her son. But, I'm sick watching her and how full of excuses she is. Yes I sound like a jerk, but, I feel so bad for her son. I'm normally not this type of person of being mean, becUse we all have weight issues In common. But she's gonna die within the next two years at this point -

tfarr replied to monopoly2015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can do it !!! Yes, the first few days are horrible. Day 6 was the turn around for me. Walk if you can, I hated it at first, but it gets rid of gas and helps against clots -

Help, please! Premier Protein shakes taste awful to me.. Need recommendations!
tfarr replied to blissfulbeing's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Save them for after surgery. Your tastes will change. I'm not a fan of any RTD except premier protein. Syntrax peanut butter cookie is great in a blender with milk and ice. Before surgery I hated and I mean hated tomato soup. I only had it once in my life . But, post op that was the only soup I had left and I had to eat. Now, I totally love it!! I actually need more lol Good luck -
The thought of puréed food grossed me out. I just ate babyfood.

[what insurance company actually pays for these?

I got a call back today and realized why I wasn't hearing from them. I've been calling 9am eastern time. They are central time. I got a call from Los Angeles and figured it was some weirdo calling the wrong number, till I listened to the message, hen it clicked lol

tfarr replied to Countrygrrl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat fast too I haven't thrown up yet. I don't eat much though. -
Plus, I called my Ins and they said no one has called on my behalf in regards to protein coverage.

The days are getting better, but, I'm working up my pace to get all My fluids in plus muscle down 2 protein shakes. But I'd like to try something more on my phase two diet. I'm just afraid it will fill me up and I won't be able to get my fluids in Any advice?
-
Seems strange that I'm asking this but, if I drink mouthfuls of water instead of sips will my sleeve stretch? I drink tons and never sips. I don't guzzle but do drink a few mouthfuls at a time. I'm still trying to work all this together. I'm about 6 weeks out
-
It does go through ,your right Elode, but I'm afraid when I drink the protein shakes it stays there longer because I feel so full. Strange how something fill you up and others don't.

Were you weighed the day of your surgery?
tfarr replied to Debbie Jean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wasn't. But when I used the bathroom in the Pro-op there was a scale and I got on lol
