I would not consider YOU a successful WLS patient!
barbb3 replied to RJ'S/beginning's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh my gosh RJ! I truely cannot believe the lack of support you have gotten from the medical community and SOME people around you. You (and all of us) deserve so much more. I hope the dietician they are sending you to gives you the support you need. As to your place here on Bariatric Pal? Your voice is so important to us - pre- op or post-op, newbie or veteran. Your insight and perspective and humor are so valuable and needed here! Bariatric Pal would not be the same without you. -
Glad to hear you are up and moving! Pleae keep us posted on how you are doing! And if you want to update your profile info you can scroll to the top of the screen and on the right side there should your profile name and next to it a wheel. Select the wheel and then go to "profile." There is an "Edit my profile" button you can push and then update your info. Good luck with everything!!!

Have you had any blood work done lately? If this is a new developement for you it may be that you are malnourished and that is causing your lack of energy and depression. You should check with your doctor. Good luck Kimpossible!!

So tell me are still hungry after have sleeve Surgery?
barbb3 replied to Sexy Granni's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 6 months out and I don't really feel hunger yet. I get an empty feeling instead. My doctor did tell me to expect to feel hungry at some point. That is why it is important to establish your healthy eating habits now and learn your limits. Good luck! -

Is this normal? 2 days post op
barbb3 replied to kelseycakes20's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you call the doctor's office and ask them? Maybe drink some broth or crystal light? That really helped me. Plain Water made me sick (only for the first couple of months.) Good luck! -
I made and still make my own soup with lots of chicken, and some onion and carrots. A can of chicken broth and some poultry seaoning and I am good to go. It lasts for a couple of meals too. My doctor and dietician were 100% anti-carb. Best of luck to you!
