I can eat only very tiny amounts and verrrry slowwwwly. Last night I was only able to eat one chicken tender (1-2 oz?) and had to chew it very, very well, and then wasn't able to eat anything else. I have to drink slowly too....it takes me about 1 hour to get down 8 oz of water or a protein drink. What is amazing to me is that I rarely feel hungry and I'm losing weight (which I thought would never happen!). I was banded last Sept. 2007, and this is the first time I feel I have restriction and am only now losing weight (I've had about 5 fills since my surgery, and the last one FINALLY gave me restriction so I'm afraid to have an unfill. I can get down enough liquids so I'm not dehydrated, so I don't feel the need to get an unfill even though I know I'm probably a little too restricted. I just wish I wouldn't gurgle so much! My friend (who is also banded) told me her MD told her gurgling could be a sign my band has slipped, and I should get an esophogram. I was wondering if anyone else was ever told this. Also, if my band did slip, wouldn't there be other symptoms too?? What exactly are the symptoms of a slipped band???
