  1. Hello, Fellow Sleevers! I'm just looking for some new ideas to go to when I haven't planned a meal (sometimes it happens). So far I go for a 'Lunchables' and ditch the crackers. I'll eat the meat and cheese only, dip them in some mustard, and sometimes throw in some fruit or Protein chips if I'm really hungry, but that's getting old. I love to cook, but I'm single and my new pouch is even more wasteful of prepared foods so I've been trying to learn how to freeze/reheat. My question is: What are some tricks of the trade for quickie meals? Down 35lbs. as of today! WOO HOO!

    Disc Golf?

Lol! I'm not a great golfer so I might have to crawl in the drainage ditch quite a few times!
  5. Hello! I'm almost 4 weeks post-op (surgery date: 3/11/14). I would like to disc golf with friends tomorrow but I'm wondering if that will be too hard on my abdomen this early? Doc put zero restrictions on exercise, but I still wish I would've called during business hours today to double check. What do you guys think?

    one week post op depression

I'm in your boat right now. I'm 1 week and 3 days post-op and I've got the blues. I don't regret surgery, but I miss food. Sad to say but it made me happy. Even if falsely and temporarily. We'll get there though! You're not alone in this.

    First few weeks

I'm a week and one day out and really the actual surgery pain wasn't that bad. When you bend over, get out of bed, etc. it sort of feels like you did a bunch of ab crunches the day before or something. It was just sore, but not really painful. I winced a few times the first couple of days or so when I had to strain but then it really went away. I used all of my prescribed meds though, I didn't want to feel uncomfortable at all. The gas pains were what really got to me! I walked for five minutes, VERY slowly on the treadmill, once an hour for a few days after and it really helped. All of it is bearable though...and so far it's been worth it! I'm down 13lbs. today! I do have a head cold or something though...not related to surgery...and it's pretty miserable. Lol

    Any REGRETS out there?

^ Agreed! I wish I had done it sooner! Even at my most nauseous (there might be some nausea), I STILL didn't regret it! I have friends who have been sleeved and they also do not regret it. Congrats on scheduling your surgery!

    3 weeks post op

Sorry you're feeling sick! I'm only a week post-op but I've been reading that milk does sometimes make bariatric patients nauseous. Are you drinking your fluids though?
  15. Thank you for your thoughts! Calling doc now...
  16. Hello! I'm new to this forum and to the surgery. I was sleeved last Tuesday and so far things are going great as far as healing goes! I do have a question that I'm not sure how to search for in this forum's topics though, and I'm also not completely sure it even relates to my WLS, but here goes anyway. For the past two days I'm feeling extremely weak and out of breath. I've been using the breathing treatment to prevent pneumonia, getting in all of my fluids, (although getting down my shakes is still tough so that might account for the weakness). Currently, I'm really stopped up, yet my nose is runny; and I feel really rundown. I've blown through a roll of toilet paper in a day and a half blowing my nose. I guess my question is: Is this common after undergoing surgery when your immunity already isn't at its best? Or do you think this could be a developing illness? I put a call into my weight loss facility/doctor this morning but no one has called me back yet. Thank you for any input!
