After having my date switched back and forth, (and my surgery being canceled yesterday just before I left..) I will finally be banded tomorrow, on my original date:) I am so super excited, and can't wait to get this behind me!! I have had my last supper (again.. lol) and am ready to roll.. I will be leaving tomorrow morning at 4:45 a.m. to be there at 6! YAYYYYYY!!! Just wanted to share:) :w00t:Kerri:biggrin2:

OK.. So I wanted a morning surgery.... and that's what I got..lol.. I am reporting to the hospital at 6a.m... Which means I am leaving at 4:30- 4:45ish in the morning.. Holy moly, not the best time for someone who hates mornings to be out and about.. But I will take it! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! I can't wait! :sad: :) Kerri!! :) :)

I KNEW it was too good to be true.. My luck is such... AAAGGHHHH!! I just want to get this show on the road! Thanks for thinking of me at noon:).. Unfortunately that's when they called me to cancel.. lol.. Although maybe the prayers worked to help me keep my sanity.. I can't believe how well I took it!! Tonight we went out for dinner and a movie with my sister and her boyfriend... One more day to go.. (again..) I can do this! They will call tomorrow with my time to be there.. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR AN MORNING SLOT! I was starving and soo thirsty by noon today! lol.. I'll let you know the time whenI find out. :)Kerri

I am so frustrated beyond belief.. I got a call this morning saying I had to be bumped up an hour and didn't need to be there until 1:45pm.. OK I figured.. It was meant to be, I can take care of things around the house, even though I was already starvinggg:( I planned to leave at 12:15, it's a bit of a ride.. At noon my phone rang, and I though uhh ohh.. What is going on?! My surgeon had to cancel.. He wouldn't have enough time to get me in:( This is all so wonderful I thought.. They called last Wednesday and moved me up from this wednesday to today (Monday).. I was so stressed, I wouldn't be able to get in any time at work, my husband had to change his days off, as well as my Mom and sister.. Well, as it turns out, it all fell into place, everyone got their time off changed.. I though "wow, this is really meant to be, I will be ok, plus it's better- I get to go in 2 days earlier".. Sooo.. fast forward to today... My husband is battling with his boss to get wednesday off, of course because he took today and tomorrow off already.. My Mom can't take it off, and now my older sister is going to try to be there.. I feel like I'm in a whirl wind:( Anyhoo, enough complaining, I just had to get it out.. Thanks for reading.. ~Kerri

Thanks guys for the support!:biggrin: I am doing a little better right now.. I have always been a firm believer that everything, no matter how crappy, happens for a reason. It just really upset me because my original date was for the 19th anyway, I wish they could have just left it that way! They told me last week when they moved me up that my surgeon was losing his Wednesday OR hours, and had to move me up.. I'm thinking that he got wayy overbooked? Either way, I feel bad for everyone wasting their day off for nothing.. I better get me in Wednesday.. If not, there will be hell to pay.. This hospital really needs to get their crap together! I am surely going to put in a complaint.. This hasn't been the only issue:( Thanks again for reading, and letting me vent!! :)Kerri

I am sooo disappointed.. This morning I got a call saying that my surgeon had an emergency surgery, and I need to be moved up an hour.. Ok.. Gives me more time to finish up around the house... While doing laundry they call again, bad news... Dr.Trieu canceled my surgery, he won't have enough time today, I go in Wednesday... WHICH WAS MY ORIGINAL DATE?!??! UGHHHH.. Last night I had my last supper, made sure I had everything I needed was in order, I spent all weekend cleaning, and was ready to roll... Such my luck I guess.. This happened 6 times 2 years ago while trying to buy my house.. I ran out of patience, and just couldn't take it.. This is a big deal here.. GAHHHH!! I AM SO FRUSTRATED.. Well, I Am off to mope around, and maybe walk the dogs to blow off some steam:( Sorry to complain:(

Hi Sarah.. I got the Isopure at GNC tonight. I decided to have my "last supper" hehe at Olive Garden, I had never been so some of our friends got together:) It was a good time plus I got my protein drinks:) I got the punch and blue raspberry. I got a case for $40, they were buy one get one half off.. I am off to bed, surprisingly I am so mellow tonight?! I cleaned all day, plus when I got home and did shopping for all the liquids I need. I hope I am well prepared..I can't wait to get the showon the road.. We'll see how calm I am in the morning;) :mad2: Kerri

Holy moly Sarah, you hit the bargain jackpot! I have never heard of the Isopure stuff.. It sounds good, and 40g of protein is fabulous! My protein goal is 80g per day, so 2 of the bottles would do it! Plus help with my fluid intake for the day as well:) Is there a GNC in Augusta or do you have one near you? I have nothing here and searched for one in Augusta, but no such luck.. I stuck with the Slim Fast because I couldn't find much else, all I have is a Wal Mart:(.. The Whey Protein unflavored stuff sounds like a lot help to get the daily requirements in.. I hope I can get some of that Isopure stuff, $3 a bottle is a bit pricey, but just about what I would spend on Slim Fast.. I'm going to go search again for a GNC in Augusta, and hopefully I can stop in before I go to the hospital tomorrow:) YAYYYY!!!! :)Kerri

Hi all, joining this thread a little late.. I have been planning on surgery for the 19th.. Surprise!!! They had to move it up to Monday:) I'll be a St. Patrick's day bandster!! Yay Sarah, the psych eval is over!:biggrin: I wish I only had to answer 136 questions.. Gahhhhh that was the worst part for me, it took me almost 2 hours!! Was there a question in there " I feel like I'm being robbed" or "People are out to get me".. lol.. I had to laugh at some of the questions.. hehe Some of them wer so random and bizarre! How much protein is in the stuff that you found.. Am I understanding it right that it's like the new fiber stuff out- odorless, tastless, and you can put it in anything??? That sounds wonderful!:smile: I just went with the Slim Fast Low Carb for now.. I have always enjoyed them while on Atkins, so I just decided to stick with what I know.. The OR called today, I don't have to be there until 12:45pm... The good thing is though, that the nurse said I can drink clear liquids from when I wake up until 9am:) I am going to be stressing all day now! She said to plan on being there between 4-6 hours total, then they'll drug me up, and send me off.. Sounds interesting! I'm sure I'll have a sleepy hour ride home. (Or so I hope) Thanks Sallie for the congrats, I am super excited and just getting used to the fact (finally) that this is actually going to happen! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bariatric center just called to say that Dr.Trieu no longer can do surgery's on wednesdays, so they moved me up to this monday.. I am freaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of this sudden I feel so ill prepared.. My countdown just went from 6 days to 4... EEEEEKKKKK!!!!! Holy moly... I am going to be a st.pattys day bandster.. EEEEKKKKK!! Yes! 9 days!:sneaky: Pre op is Wednesday at 8am.. I am getting a bit nervous because I haven't been feeling "right" for a few days now, and I don't want anything to come up in the pre op:( Oh well, I can't stress, what's meant to be is meant to be.. Things are moving right along for you! yay! Hope your nutrition goes well today.. and the support group. I seriously need to get to another support group before surgery. I hope I can make at least one.. I need it! I totally agree about the before and after thread.. I am so anxious to be "after" and have the pics and body to prove it:) It's coming though, we'll be there before we know it! I can't wait! I am off to lay down for a bit, I am so lightheaded I can't stand myself.. It's making me nauseous.. Grrrr...... I hope this goes away! Take care:) Kerri
