You look fabulous! And I too noticed those clavicles! Way to go!
  3. I hate to say it but I am fanatical about getting in all of my vitamins, fluids, and am always over 80 grams of protein every day and I started losing hair a few weeks ago. I will survive of course but it is more complicated than just getting your nutrients. Bummer huh?

Over 400Lbs Gastric Sleeve Success Story

Way to go James! You rock! And Jenn.....how goes that last 6 pounds?
  5. So on the topic of airplanes.... It has been a long time since I have attempted to fly and I don't know that I have ever flown without the worry that I wouldn't have seatbelt issues or someone next to me wishing they weren't next to me issues. Know what I mean? Can anyone give me any insight as to what weight I might be able to book a flight without a lot of anxiety? I think that will be my next goal! My BFF is a 12 hour drive away. Although I don't mind a good roadtrip, I would get to see her more often if I could just jump on a plane. I know we are all built different but I was just looking for a general idea.I'm 5'7. Thanks!

    Goals

I'm pretty small goal oriented. Having something to look forward to always makes the journey a much more joyful one for me and so far I haven't struggled much with the dark side much because of my focus on the little goals set forth ahead of me. My first goal was set for 75 pounds because I have over the course of my life lost 70 pounds a few times and gained it back (with extra). So this time I'm going forward and my reward is a few choice pieces of clothing that fit a little better. My next goal is when I get to 299 pounds at which time I'm going to buy me a bicycle! I used to live on one of those when I was young and I really miss it. I live very close to a great paved biking trail and I can't wait! My first big goal was to be able to fit in an airplane seat without worry (started a thread about that today). Even when I reach that goal I will have a long way to go but it won't matter because I will feel such a renewed sense of freedom and pride in what I have accomplished. I haven't looked any further ahead than that. Right now my blinders are set on that next 5 pounds!

Lions and Tigers and Planes...OH MY!

Thanks! I too carry a lot in my midsection. I will be traveling again this fall so that gives me something to shoot for! There really isn't anything I can do that I'm not already doing but it is nice to have something to look forward to!

    nasuea after eating

I had that problem at a month out. I still have it after my morning protein shake on most days and it seems to be worse if I drink it too fast. Hang in there! It will get better!
  10. Count me in with the iron stomach people. As soon as I was on pureed food I was mixing in some serious heat. After the liquid stage I needed flavor! Anyway, I've always been a fan of spicy, and I actually tolerate it even better now because I don't overeat it! Hope your tummy doesn't betray you! Good luck!

    So Excited! My sleve journey.

Exciting! That will help get you through the unpleasantness in the beginning! Good luck!
  12. I hear you. We all do. Really we do. And although you didn't ask for advice, please take this in the manner in which it is intended. Start tracking everything again so that you have a recent record of what you are consuming and then get a second opinion. You never know, it may bring you new possibilities, options, or at least peace of some kind. Good luck!

    New Coping Skill

I usually pick up the phone and call a friend. Before long we are laughing and everything seems better. Lately, I've also been diving into books that I've been wanting to read. If I have a good book going, I can get lost in it and all the rest of the world goes away. Currently, those are my best 2 distractions. Good luck!

    Gummy multi vitamin after surgery?

I looked at them just yesterday and was shocked at the fact that the serving size was 4. So, in order to get the Vitamins that are listed you have to eat 4 of them....definitely not worth the money...highway robbery! I'm 10 weeks out and still chomping on 2 flintstones every day lol. On another note, a friend gave me a couple gummy Fiber chews and they weren't bad! I do need to figure out the fiber thing...eh hem... Good luck! hope you find something you can tolerate!

LOL I will add one more to your list....I thought that no surgery short of brain surgery would work for me. Thanks for your inspiration and Congrats!
