Tasty but complete multi vitamin
sophie'sChoice replied to Patoonces's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I too am a Flintstones fan. It was suggested by my surgery team. I chew 2 a day. I especially enjoyed them when I was on pure liquid and mushy post-op phases because I got to crunch on something lol -
Protein shakes
sophie'sChoice replied to Sparklingbeauty53's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I drink one or two a day depending on how my Protein intake from solid Proteins is going for the day. I have to get at least 80 grams a day. I have one for breakfast every day and in the evening if I need it, I will have another. If I'm only a little under I will use sugar free Carnation instant breakfast packet with 8 oz skim milk. Good luck! -
Is it possible to get too much protien in one day?
sophie'sChoice replied to beachgurl84's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Beachgurl, which flavors of the isopure do you like? I have thought about trying them but they are pretty pricey and I wasn't sure if I would like them. -
Wow I bet that was a shocker! Congrats!

Do I need a therapist?
sophie'sChoice replied to ladykatie_'s topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Pureed stage is so hard. You finally get a bit of variety in terms of flavor but you still don't get to chew. It's rough getting through those first stages while your tummy heals. I say go for it in terms of the therapist. You might want to consider some sensitivity training for the hubby too! ha ha....shame on him for eating your favorites in front of you! Hang in there....it will get better! -
I made tuna and chicken salad with a little no fat miracle whip and boiled egg then whipped it a bit. Helped with protein options and gave me something different to eat. I put chili and chunky soups in the blender as well. I especially liked the chili because it wasn't as bland as some of the things I had been eating. Hope this helps!

What do you miss most after Weight Loss Surgery?
sophie'sChoice replied to Menelly's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was a diet soda addict since I was a child. I really thought that it was going to be a problem for me. It wasn't. Not at all. Get out your crayons and color me shocked! -
The first couple of weeks are the hardest. You can do this! Hang in there!

Busting through the curse of the lost 4th grader
sophie'sChoice posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So today I hit the 70 pound lost mark! Exciting huh? That's about the weight of a 4th grader. Well, this is about the 4th time I've hit that mark. The other 3 times I hit a plateau, got frustrated, long story short, I ended up gaining all of it back with an extra 50 pounds. So I declare war on the 4th grader and I'm going to bust through this curse this time and make it history! Onward and downward!! -
Busting through the curse of the lost 4th grader
sophie'sChoice replied to sophie'sChoice's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm excited. A small victory for some but a huge one for me. I have for once, in a lifetime of dieting, lost over 70 pounds....and this time I'm not worried about gaining it all back! It's so freeing it's ridiculous. Anyway....onward and downward! -
How did they react? Do they treat you differently now? I sure hope not!

How cool is that! WOOT!

Were u always overweight or become as an adult?
sophie'sChoice replied to marfar7's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The last picture of me at a normal weight was when I was 5. It's been an unsuccessful struggle for the last almost 45 years. I try to not think about the life lost during those years and just look joyfully to the future.
