I was wondering about the Marriot and if they had free WiFi? Also is cell service international since youre so close to the US? I want to stay in touch with my family every step of the way. Thanks

I'm having mine at OCC with Dr Ortiz on the 26th but I am staying til the 30th. Maybe we could meet on 29th ( its my birthday) maybe I could give you a few pointers. Lol

Annadette you look fabulous already! I haven't had my surgery yet but I've looked at so many pics and I think everyone is trading in fat for a beautiful smile. I can't wait til next month!!!

I want to know if anyone feels like me and if getting WLS helps..Since being overweight I have ZERO desire to have any "relations" with my husband. Yes I do it to please him but its like OK let's get this over with..it really hurts his feelings. I just don't feel sexy. I tell him I feel like a blob and just plain ugly and he tells me I'm beautiful. BYW he has the body of a God and women actually stop and stare. So does the desire come back? I sure hope so

Weight training helps...you don't have to be like Arnold Schwarzenegger or anything. Just tighten and tone a little . you should see a difference

I stopped hiding the fact that I was going to have WLS. Might as well announce it to the world so I put it on Facebook.. Lots of ' work out, push away from the table, and NO you don't need that done' Well they don't live in MY body and don't know my addiction/fixation with food. I just try to reassure some and roll my eyes at others. Come on May 26th. IM READY!!

I won't have surgery til May 26th and I weigh 223 at present. I know I'm supposed to do liquid diet two weeks prior to that. Does anyone think it will hurt if I do on May 1st.? Also can we have stuff like salad during this phase?

Just booked our flight!! I am SO excited and so is my hubby. First time to fly too (well second actually but I was unconscious the first time so it doesnt count) Im more scared of flying for the first time than I am of the surgery...Im READY READY READY!!!

Last night after getting home from work and I finally just get to sleep my dad calls. My step mom had saw about my future surgery on FB. She wakes him up to tell him. He calls and just goes off on me telling me all kinds of stuff like I'm going to die , to exercise, push away from the table, ect. Ect. After explaining about an hour I finally calm him down. Now he wants SPECIFICS..LOL..I KNOWbeing a parent you worry about your kids but geezzz I'm big enough to make my own decisions!!! Now at work for 13 hour shift on 4 hours sleep. Think I need to silence my phone at night:))

I understand this. My daughter is 18 and as of January just gave me my second grandbabie. I must confess to being a ' Daddy's girl' I don't think that stops no matter how old you are. He has calmed down a little. Knows I'm not the type to just jump into anything without facts.

I am an LVN in Texas. I put in for the Bridge program this year but turned up as an alternate. Taking the money I had saved for that to have the sleeve. So maybe next year I will get accepted and have the energy for clinical..lol...

OK I know I'm going crazy posting for now but I'm sure everyone here had that one particular thing they wanted to do or wear when able to.....Well I want my husband to take me to see the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. I want him in a tux and I want to wear a blue sequined, floor length, spaghetti strap evening gown. I've dreamed of this for so long but never went because of being fat. 2014 I declare you the year my dreams come true !!

Had a consultation with Dr Jimenez. He was concerned about my previous DVT and my seizure condition . all is good. I feel safe about the surgery and looking forward to it. Oh and he speaks great English..lol...THAT eased a lot of my fear.lol

Just realized that two months to the day I will be getting my sleeve. I'm still excited and overjoyed. I lay in bed at night just thinking about the new life I'm gonna lead and how its going to be such a transformation. I'm actually going to love ME again!!!

I was wondering if the Injury chicken broth tasted anything like bullion cubes? I haven't had surgery yet but the cubes really gag me.

I wondered the same thing and really the only conclusion I have come up with is that maybe its wanting to prepare you to change your eating habits, kinda like get in the swing of things, Maybe also train your mind as well.. oh just looked this up and it says it helps remove fat around your liver so the surgery will be easier. I wont have mine til Memorial day.
