Oh tabitha! I hear ya! I felt the same way for a few weeks. Shed a lot of tears and asked myself what the hell did I do to my body. Well, I am 5 months out and feeling great. Down 65 lbs and work out 3-5 times a week. I took a little while to get the hormones in check but ur body went through a huge change. Please give yourself time and love yourself because u will be so grateful for your sleeve. I know I am and will be forever with all the positive changes that have come along. Keep at it and you'll do great!

Epic battle- Liquids vs Solid
hope2be replied to YummyMummy101's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was sleeved march 10th and I felt the same way the first few weeks. Now that I'm feeling better it's becoming a habit I just eat about the same time each day and that gives me plenty of time to drink my water in between meals. I wait about 30 min after eating is all. I was overthinking it in the beginning and it really does get easier. Just do your best and realize it's all worth it. Find what works for you. Good luck -

I'm 5 weeks PO today and feeling really great. sleeping on my stomach yeah. Walking do much more and further. I'm still exhausted by 8:00 at night but I've been keeping active all day at least. I'm down 28 lbs since surgery and still on mostly soft foods. I go back to the dr Thursday. HW: 277 SW: 268 CW: 240

I am almost 5 weeks post op and today I went to a charity walk event that lasted an hour walking at a track. It was fun and I lasted the whole hour and it was 3.7 miles. I was thrilled. I have so much more confidence already. My dad actually said he could tell already that I've lost weight just looking at my face. A good day especially after a rough couple weeks at the beginning. I'm down 27 since surgery and 38 overall. And to think I regretted it the first couple weeks. Not anymore!

Feeling full 24/7 Can't Eat :(
hope2be replied to michelle_e2006's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's all very normal. I felt similar but now 4weeks out and I'm able to more. Just be patient and focus on ur protein drinks and water. The rest will follow. At 3 weeks you should feel a difference. Just take it little by little. Good luck -
Taking it day by day!
hope2be replied to cdmcnair18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first week is very rough. Something changed for me at 2 weeks and I started feeling better. Today is 16 days out and I'm doing so much more. I had no desire to eat those first 5 days but now I'm doing well with the soft foods. I was so overwhelmed trying to figure out how to get in all the Protein and Water that I called my nut and she said just do the best you can and not to overthink it too much this early on. I swear it gets easier. You re lucky u didn't have regret because I totally had those feelings that first week but now I'm getting the hang of things and I don't have any pain that my regrets are out the window. And I've shut that window too . Keep trying to do the best you can and get the rest you need because your body went through major surgery. My np also said your hormones are in flux and some people experience some sadness like post pardom. It does go away. Best of luck to you!! -

Jmcp. Before u go through with the surgery u really need to be mentally prepared. Fears are normal but if u haven't had some form of counseling it is going to be tough on your psychi. The sleeve is not reversible so keep that in mind and be comfortable with that. It takes hard work which I'm sure u can do. Good luck in your decision.

When do mornings get easier? I don't feel like eating and when I try it makes me not feel well. Only 2 weeks post op. Anyone else experience that?
-
Thanks for the help. I've been having a lot of anxiousness. Especially after I eat. Not sure why or how to handle it.

I'm two weeks post op and get the shakes a little in the morning. Has anyone else experienced that?

I'm only two weeks post op and I have gone back and forth on regret but I've been very tired. I'm not very patient either. Just make sure you make a list of the pros an cons of doing this. I have been looking back at that list myself. And u definitely want to have the right mindset. Know you are changing things permanently and u have to live with that decision everyday.
