    Countdown to Onederland!

wow!! I haven't seen those numbers on my scale for about 6 yrs now. My highest weight was 232, but in the last six years I have lost over 100 lbs, but never got below 200.(lose 20/ gain 30/ lose 25/gain 25 etc.....) It's overwhelming to actually see that number, just because I could have done this so many times before but gave up on myself. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that I don't have to give up because now I have help. I personally will not be weighing in for the next month just so I can be darn sure that next time I do I will still be under 200. Good luck to you all.

    Countdown to Onederland!

I have been teetering on the scale between 204 and 202 for some time now. This morning I weighed in at exactly 200!!!!! I am obsessive compulsive when it comes to the scale, I probably weigh myself 2 or 3 times a day. But after this morning, I am going to give myself a good week before I try again. I have a hard time with willpower (who'd of thunk it) so I usually make my husband put the scale on the top shelf of my kitchen cabinets so I can't reach it. This week though I will be demanding that he put it in his truck and take it to work with him!!!!! Can't wait til next week to post my results. Keep up the good work everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  3. I'm with Cowtown I don't do anything sweet, LOWRY'S is the only way to go.
  4. Hi all!! I was really glad to find this tread. I started the c-5k last week. I found and printed out the program 3 weeks ago and finally found the courage to dive in. Week one was pretty awesome. I haven't run or jogged since I was in high school. Back then this would have been cake. I played softball, volleyball, and basketball. But, I was so surprised that I was actually able to do it without quiting or giving up (which got me to this weight in the first place). I had already decided before I started this program that I would do the week 1 workout twice, but after finishing week one and letting go of some of the self doubt, I am starting week 2 workout this morning. wish me luck and hope all of you are doing well.

    October Exercise Challenge

Hi all!! Just reporting in. I am done with 1/3 of my goal for this month. If I can stay at this pace, I will make it to goal!!!!!!!!WhoooooHooooo!!!!! I never thought I would be so excited about excercise. This site is so wonderful You guys inspire me. Today, I was on the elliptical, and was ready to quit. My legs were tired, I was sweating to death and I just flat out didn't want to be there today. At 30 minutes I almost gave up, but I really wanted to put in a good number for today on the ticker site, so I pushed myself to finish the last 20 minutes. I was so proud of myself, this is the longest I have gone on this machine before. It just proves that you can do anything you tell yourself you can. Keep up the awesome work guys!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Hi All!! I just got home from my first fill appointment. Whew....glad that is over. I was so nervous and all for nothing. Everything went great and I'm great. I lost another pound and that puts me -17 one month out of surgery. Almost everyone wishes for more as do I, but the way I look at it is that I will never see those 17 again. I have said this many times before the band, but now I know I can say it undoubtedly. Hope everyone is doin well.

    October Exercise Challenge

HEY ALL!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to report in. The bootcamp yesterday was a killer. I woke up this morning and could barely put my bra on. Went to the gym to work out the soreness and it helped for a little while. Maybe tomorrow I can recoop some more before the next camp workout on Thurs. Oh by the way my 1st fill is tomorrow. Will I be able to do a strenuous workout the next day?? Surely, the fill won't affect my ability to workout. Hey Stephanie if your reading this I wanted to tell you that Dr. Marsden banded me also on 8/31. It's a small world. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    October Exercise Challenge

WOW Stephanie!!!!!!!! 2200 minutes I was banded on Aug. 31st and have been back at the gym for the last 2 weeks. Today I started a bootcamp 2 days a week. I can't believe how bad a mile kicked my butt. Anyways, I will start my first challenge with 1000 minutes and can only aspire to be like Stephanie and her 2200. You go girl. Wish me luck and may I have the strength and willpower to complete my goal.
  10. Hi Everyone!!!! I was banded on August 31st. I lost 10 lbs in the first week, and only have lost 2 more in the last 3 wks. I am trying to not get discouraged, but as of right now i have no restriction. I am hoping that will change with my 1st fill in 2 days. I hope that I am not setting my expectations too high. Any advice??????????

    Whats the worst you've heard?

ive got one. when i was younger and 40 lbs thinner than i even am now, i was working in a resturant where at the end of your shift you could order off the menu. I as well as all the other waitstaff ordered our meal. Now everyone but me got their food and i waited 20 minutes to say anything, but i was very hungry after my 8 hr shift and finally asked my boss " isn't my food ready yet?" He replied with a lip curling " well it isn't like you are going to blow away in the wind or anything!!!!!!! Not to mention he made this comment in front of the entire staff. I was so embarrassed I didn't even wait around to eat. what a jerk!!!!!
