Stuck between a rock and a hard place

You can; 1-purchase a private plan I the exchange that does cover it 2- you can get on the wife's plan if she covers it 3- see if current employer offers another plan with coverage 4- self pay in Texas is about same price as Mexico. There is another thread on this already

    FRUSTRATED!

Sounds like bs to me Medicare does pay for bariatric though I've seen several posts from those 65+ who have had surgery pd for by medicare Did they offer you a secondary location?
  8. It was 4 days before I started getting worried I had a csection 16 years ago and was impacted pretty badly. I did a couple tablespoon prune just and equal part Water. Sipped for few hours Saturday and Sunday around noon I was clear. Yay

    FRUSTRATED!

If medicare is your secondary coverage why did they cancel? That's not clear. They'll just pick up the costs of copays and deductibles after Cigna.

    Percent of excess weight lost?

They consider that % the successful surgery
  11. Am curious what you mean normal size? Even with stretching I was told by my surgeon it would be the difference between 4 and 6 ounces not a normal size ever again

  13. Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing really well I've read many folks on the site feel better with warm liquids. I am the opposite. The cold makes me feel way better than the hot/warm liquids.

Worried that i am not on track.

Some folks are just slower losers than other I think there's a forum for that. As long as you are logging everything you eat, following the food plan, and staying active then I think you should meet your goals.

    Glad I found this site

1500 at 4 weeks? I can't even get 200 at 6 days. I think you need to talk to your nutritionist
  23. I went the sleeve route because of all the complications I had read about. Then I was talking to one of my neighbors who works at the local hospital doing gastric surgeries and she said they get an equal part of lap removal request as they do first time lap bands. My surgeon had said he does remove almost 1/5 as many as he puts in. That to me was telling enough. I went sleeve.
