  1. To the drinking - I am changing my lifestyle and relationship with food. One of the things I am changing is reducing empty calories. Such as those that come with wine. Or as I did last night and no one noticed - pour me 3 ounces of wine and placed it on my lips and placed it back down and no sip entered my mouth. No one noticed since the conversation was lively and the company was great.

Complain to your doc regularly that you have itchy flop over underneath and start building a case for your insurance to pay for pannicylectomy

    Am I alone on this?

So I finally went to a restaraunt Saturday night. 2.5 weeks out at the time. Wow. Just wow. We were a group of 4. And everyone at my table was so great and ate slow for me (sniff) but the table closest to us I was like wowowowowowso Even my cousin was astonished since she was consciously eating slow. She was like do I scarf my food down like that without breathing without chewing without thought? I said we probably all had done that before. My companions basically noticed they ate slower and were full faster. We all took home doggie bags and that has never happened
  10. Call the doctor office I found the person responsible for insurance submission didn't know I had met all requirements. I had to call her. And then she relayed info to surgery scheduler. In my doc office diff people do different things. So make sure you connect with them and not get lost in the shuffle

Annoyed by hunger / need to vent

I am sorry to hear you are having struggles. Do you have to be home? Do you love alone? If you don't have to be there - maybe go back to your moms for a little while. Nothing wrong with needing a comforting mom around to just talk to. Positive influence and she can understand perfectly. If you live alone - and can't go back to moms then maybe have some friends stop by occasionally for drinks. They can share your crystal light, Water, Protein shakes! Let's party and get you outta that funk. This is a huge change for you - if you can move if that location holds negative memories.

    Constipated

Some post op diets don't allow fruits for quite a long time. So add in some prune juice. Couple ounces works wonders

    Cigna Insurance

The letter should have detailed what was missing and likely it was that letter. Make sure office gets it ASAP and then sends a fax AND have then request a peer to peer
  14. I totally feel you on not wanting to do this. But a couple of things I want to share on the hunoirous side. 1- I have a new understanding of Michael Jackson. I got propophyl for my anesthesia and although this at first concerned me since It caused him a bucket kick - I now understand him 2- propophyl ---- best damn 20 minute nap I've ever had!!! 3- the nurse was so scared to stick my IV in my veins - quite comical as I have some gorgeous running lines there- cause she couldn't see them. The anesthesiologist did it. What amazing hands this guy had. Didn't feel a damn thing. He offered to give her the propophyl
  15. Agree. But getting snaked really?? I mean damn I know it's plumbing. But lol

Usually Cigna is 5 days. But it's an average. Call them, tell computer authorization and it will connect you to the nurses to check status

26 hours out and things no one told me

I had to pee so bad when I woke up and had to use a bed pan in recovery. I wanted to die. I had to push to pee cause the anesthesia really did a number on me and they were ready to cath me after I sat on that pan for 10 minutes with no result. Ugh. I went ! Peed the entire bed at some point and then 30 minutes later had to go again. But yes peeing was trickle trickle trickle. Took forever
  18. I did not need a colonoscopy before my sleeve. However when talking to doc after EGD he felt with my uncle having died of colon issues, dad regularly has polyps, and my grandmother had issues as well. Better safe than sorry and certainly eyes wide open pre life altering surgery. Had a clean bill of health back in 3 years and will keep doing regularly. If they want a swab on whatever sign me up!

    Pre Op Diet Dr Curry

Would love to know what kind of food you're buying??
  22. It's totally up to the hospital and you'd have to know who to call. But that would break from their normal process. Is it a cost Issue because of the difference or more the concern that inpatient is more care? They can always keep you for 3 days in the same day surgery unit. That's also a possibility. And still not inpatient.
  23. I think you've had surgery. So better safe than sorry?
