Waiting from approval from ins(aetna)
Jersrose43 replied to dagrlnxtdoor's topic in Insurance & Financing
I am sorry to tell you but if you look through the threads and so a search you will find several members on here who have gained very few pounds - like 5- and been denied by Aetna They are really strict in the no net gain from start to finish. I have done adipex twice and horrible drug that makes you hungrier than you were before you went on it. Brings all the weight back and then some you just can't stop yourself. You can try to appeal but not sure where that will get you. You may have to start a new 3 month cycle. Or change insurance as open enrollment. Not Aetna -

How necessary is this pre-op diet?
Jersrose43 replied to Luana526's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc has different requirement of length based on patient. So as I stated, he knows your medical history, he knows what you need to do, how far etc. Don't know about your doc but mine also ordered an abdominal ultrasound to see my pretty innards and gallbladder beforehand. Give him an idea. -

Well the Burberry jacket sold mighty quick. One down ! -
I am listing as much on eBay as possible. The closet is almost empty. Ah the memories. I now own 1 pair sweatpants, 4 work out shorts some t's and a couple dresses. That is it!! Time for a trip to kohls. If anyone interested in size 16-18 see my eBay account for booboostoycloset Have put up the jones ny suits, blouses. The Lane Bryant, The Ralph Lauren and my favorite Burberry jacket. I am going to go cry tears of joy that these all don't fit. And tears of sadness as they are really great clothes that I spent sooo much on. I still owe Lane Bryant $400 or so. Oh my!! Sniff. Yay!! http://m.ebay.com/myebay?actionName=WATCHING

Jersrose43 replied to Luana526's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First stop listening to Tom, Dick, Joe, Harry and Kim! They're not your surgeon and don't know your medical history. Second, as everyone has said it's to shrink your liver. Every doctor is different. You don't want to show your doc a lack of commitment to the rules and have him make 5 incisions and then pull out. Stop listening to these people. They're as bad as your aunt Stella who knows a guy who had a cousin whose brothers mothers uncle failed at rny. -
Issue with very irregular bowel movements
Jersrose43 replied to mbrinmn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Am at 10 weeks out. And mostly it's been once a week. I started with the prune juice. Usually about 4-6 ounces and 4-6 ounce Water combo did the trick by next morning. Tasty it was not. At about 4 weeks out it started not to prove so effective. I moved to Phillips milk of magnesia. I take a couple tablespoons at night and by 10 am it's out. My mom suggested activia and I did that for the last 10 days. Well I think that is my new go to. Because I have one activia every other day and it makes me move every other day. It's great. Let's see if I can keep at it. -

iPhone 5. Every time I post response it freezes and I have to force close the app and restart it. I also see the same topic posted 4 and 5 times in the timeline. It's not duplicate posts just repetitive. Very annoying Not sure what motivation was. Don't like. -
What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
Jersrose43 replied to alexsisv's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am with lipstick lady completely. Nothing I will miss. I look forward to living life. I don't have lofty goals of jumping out of perfectly good airplanes or bungee jumping. I don't want to learn tennis or scuba or surfing. I just want to live without pills, asthma and the threat of diabetes. -

Denied 2 days BEFORE surgery! Help!
Jersrose43 replied to luvmemore's topic in Insurance & Financing
Have you called your insurance? I will call them directly and find out what happened and get the correct insurance requirements. Once you know you've met those call the office and find out where they went wrong. Advocate for yourself ! No one will do it for you. -
Uneasy Re Clinic's Advice to Speed Weight Loss
Jersrose43 replied to katonaboat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had surgery June 24 and down 47 pounds. Nothing wrong with you or me. Just a little slower. Do not take those pills. After you stop they will make you a starving lunatic. They work temporarily and then hunger comes raging back in. Not worth it. I am truly shocked he gave you the rx for that -
LapBand-friendly fast food (don't judge me!)
Jersrose43 replied to JustWatchMe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums

My acid causes lots of hunger issues so I have found eating at pre determined times every day has really helped me. May be too soon for you. I eat evry 2 1/2 hours or so. Never more than that as I will feel "hangry" and if I do go longer I want to eat everything in site and get overfull get more acid. Vicious cycle. I eat at prescribed times and control what small portion I eat and it's all good
