I just feel like I'm not doing things correctly. I've released 30 pounds since my surgery on the 26th of March but have stopped losing for the last two weeks. I don't know if it is because I'm not able to eat enough? Maybe because I'm exercising more and building muscle again and that is causing the scale to stay static...I just wonder if anyone else has had issues of the weight refusing to leave this early on in their post-op recovery?

  2. I had gastric bypass on March 26th. Everything went well they said, I feel well except for the pain in the left front incision site hurting quite profusely. My biggest letdown is that I've gained 25 pounds. The surgeon said that I should not worry about that because there was such a trauma to the abdomen that it is the body's way of reacting and that it is all water weight. I guess that I need to get out of the numbers mindset and accept the process. I'm home now and looking forward to my husband going back to work in North Dakota so that I can focus on myself alone. I hope everyone else did well!

    March 2014 Surgery!

I'm scheduled for gastric bypass the 26th and am finding it interesting how much the pre op diet varies depending on the doctor. I feel for those of you having to do full liquids! I'm feeling quite excited in a good way but am crying at the drop of a hat too. I wish you all the best

    March 2014 Surgery!

I'm still trying to figure out this site and feeling pretty ignorant. I can't imagine doing this surgery with a two year old! I wish you the best. I have a three year old grandson that I watch on Fridays and figured I would be unable to do that because I would be feeling too poorly.

    March 2014 Surgery!

I'm scheduled for the 26th of March and will be alone when I'm recovering. Any suggestions that will make that easier?
