Wow that's great you're getting close to 100 lbs!! I'm at 56 since surgery on 3/6 and I'd have to say my arms are what I notice being loose. The tummy and leg areas are tightening up better than I had expected.

I was sleeved 3/7 and I've lost 50lbs since surgery. I have been stuck for about 3 weeks at the same weight and I too have notice major hair loss. I'm taking biotin, idk if it helps or not. These stuck weeks are hard kind of gets you down in about the process. Trying to stay positive though, maybe need to increase exercise or change foods around. I eat a lot of pinto beans and peanuts. Lol well a lot for me now. ????

Wow, amazing losses!! Great job!! I had surgery march 6, I'm down 48 lbs went from a size 22 to a 14-16. I've hit a huge stall lately though. Hoping to increase my exercise to see if more starts melting off. I'm suppose to be down another 20 more by September to reach the goal weight my dr and I set for sept.

45 is great, I had surgery march 6 and I'm down 48 lbs, I've hit a couple huge stalls and then I get lazy and my exercise levels go down and that doesn't help. I try to keep my calories down to 800 also, I use fitness pal for tracking. I find when I exercise enough to burn more calories than I take in i lose a significant amount.

I've decided I'm going to cut mine short as well. Right now it's pretty long, at least halfway down my back and now that it's thinning out it doesn't look too good. My haircut will be planned for when I reach 199lbs though! Gotta keep then goals going lol. ~30lbs to go. Hoping by August. That's a great goal sleevie!! Mine was mid back also, I just got a bob with layers I love it!!

Hi, I hear you there, I started noticing hair loss about a week ago. I've heard it lasts about two months but I sure hope not or I'll be bald too.
-
Lol my daughter says it's cause all the meat is falling off my bones. I'm in California and even on our 80 degree days I've been in a hoodie for most of the day. Hope this part goes away.

I start my 8th week tomorrow and I'm always freezing. I didn't even own a coat prior to wls and now I don't go anywhere without one of my husbands coats lol.
-
You look great!! Congrats and good job!! I had the sleeve 3/6 can you believe I didn't take before pics.

Dizziness and headaches could be from not enough water.

Are you open or private about surgery and why?
Becky78 replied to acscholz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I only told my mom, brother, daughter and husband during my whole 3 month pre op journey and then right before I started the 800 cal diet I told my dad, other brother, one cousin and aunt. The day before surgery(my last day at work) I told 3 co workers and by the time I returned to work 3 weeks later everyone knows and I really don't mind. They always want to know what I'm eating. As far as family more of them know now but I don't care. I didn't want to hear their negative opinions before hand because I wanted this to be my uninfluenced decision. I still have not posted any before and after pics on Facebook or anything saying I had surgery so people are still just wondering. I think it's better to tell less people ahead of time. -
Feeling nauseous in the idea of eating....
Becky78 replied to marlajones's topic in Food and Nutrition
You need to call your bariatric surgeon. I email mine with questions, they usually have all the answers you need. Good luck hope it gets better. -
My surgeon performs the leak test while in surgery.

Hi everyone, I signed up awhile back but today is my first time posting. I had the sleeve on Mar 6 so today starts my 5th week. So far so good, I have followed my surgeon and dietitians guides exactly and no sickness or dumping. I'm going to hope it stays that way. I look forward to talking to you all throughout our journeys.

Hi jskittles3, We had about the same starting numbers. My starting weight was 251, surgery day weight was 230 and day 28 post op I was 224. I didn't tell hardly anyone before I had surgery because i didn't need everyone's negative opinions so when they find out now I'm just like I had the gastric sleeve and I feel great and they don't have much to say. The biggest question is how are you surviving on such little food.

I drank one cup a day during pre op and now I do decaf with Splenda and sugar free creamer.

3 days POST-Opp and having troubling with GAS
Becky78 replied to Jasmyn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try taking smaller sips, the gas and bubbly feelings got better after the second week. I make sure I'm sitting up for all drinks and eating and I have to walk a little after eating to help with the gas and I'm 28 days post op. -
So, glad you're still considering it kclaws. Feel free to look me up if you need someone to talk to. My brother is also having the sleeve on 4/7.

Had I read some of these stories I might have changed my mind out but on day 28 I am doing well and am glad I did it, I would definitely do it again! I chickened out 3 times before I finally decided I was too young to be this unhealthy. I hope you think it's through and maybe read some more good stories before canceling. Good Luck with whichever decision you make. ????

Wow 35 lbs down that's great. I'm only 26lbs down at 28 days. I've just started to think I'm a little hungry between breakfast and lunch, I usually just drink more water and have a breathsaver sugar free mint. I'm still trying to decide I it's mental or actual hunger.
-
I'm 28 days post op, I had surgery at kaiser and we do 1/4 cup or 2 oz, 4 times a day. I would contact the surgeon/dietitian and tell them the issues you're having with being hungry because that has to make you miserable. I've noticed a little bit of hunger coming back in between my breakfast and lunch meal but still trying to decide if it's mental or actual hunger. Your tummy should tell you when it's had enough, I get a little pressure and know I've had enough and it's usually close to 2 oz every time depends on what I'm eating.
-
I eat 2 oz 4 times a day and I'm like you not having any problems with it either so maybe that's normal for some of us.

I had my sleeve 3-6-14 and so far I wouldn't change a thing. I had some nausea the first 24 hours but was in the hospital so they kept the medicine up pretty good. I was up walking the day I had surgery with no pain. I get a little nauseated every time I eat but only lasts 10-15 mins. It goes away faster if I get up and walk around right after eating. It's hard to get all 64 oz of liquid in everyday I'm lucky to get 40-50oz in. I find if I don't take in enough protein I'm tired and if I don't drink at least 40 oz of water I get head aches. I wish you all with upcoming surgeries much success. Today is the start of my 5th week and I have lost 26 lbs since surgery.

Weight loss surgery is NOT easy... the things I wished they had warned me about.
Becky78 replied to Iambeautiful's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I too have kaiser and they informed me of all the possible things that could happen that you mentioned. I'm sorry you had to experience them all. I'm on my 5th week no complications and I was up walking around the same day as my surgery. I have some nausea right after eating but other than that the hardest part for me is drinking 64 oz of fluids a day. I'm glad you're doing better. -
To me the food kind of felt heavy. My first food was a scrambled egg and I could only eat half of it. I had the best luck with yogurt and still do. I get a little nauseated every time I eat but it only lasts about 10-15 mins. I haven't had any pain.
