Kimberly Please send me your email address and I will email you some recipes for shakes you can make yourself they are awesome.. My surgeon gave them to me... High protein and low cal. Not costly. Put some of those Protein drinks you don't like on eBay or Craigslist. Get some of your money back, someone will buy them, at least recoup some of that money if you can. I think you'll like these protein drinks and they are inexpensive to make.

So sorry you're feeling so bad Kim, I just had mine Monday. Wish I had some words of wisdom for you but I don't. I guess just follow what your Dr is saying. Sending prayers your way that you feel better soon. ????

Had mine the 24th too. Not at all hungry but seems like every fricking commercial is a food one. Lol

How's everyone doing on getting all those fluids down? I'm struggling a little bit getting all my water down. Plus I'm to drink 1 cup skim milk 3x a day.

I would have loved to stay in the hotel but my dad is 91 and he lives with me and I take care of him so I had to get home. It's hard to get someone to come into the house to help that he likes. Lol. I would have felt so guilty I couldn't stand it.

Post op 3 days now... Feeling pretty good. Yesterday had alot of gas under rib cage but much better this morning! I have to go Back to dr tomorrow to get my drain taken out. Not looking forward to that 3.5 hour drive each way. Coming home was rough now I get to make the round trip in one day. Yeah me!!!! Oh well it's all worth it. My daughter asked if I'd stepped on the scale yet and I said no! I'm not going to be one if those that fixates on the scale.. Good to see everyone is in positive spirits and feeling good... God Bless us all and keep us strong ????

Had my drain and foley removed today. What a relief. Am soooo sore. But hold an ice pack against main incision when I got for my walks. Should go home tomorrow unless my labs are off. Wtg dolfinldy1!Little sore today that 3 1/2 car ride home wasn't kind to me. I never noticed I-80 was so damn bumpy. And I have to go back Friday to get my drain removed and see my nutritionist. But every day will improve.

Glad to hear this. My surgery went well too. I did have pretty bad gas pIns that are slowly dissipating. Went for xray, no leaks! Was given a sf popsicle. ..and it was too sweet so I only had about1/3 . Carh and drain coming out shortly! Thank goodness, they don't make things very comfortableSurgery done heading home feel great no gas pains. Incisions tender but nothing terrible. Just feels like I did 899 sit ups. Lol. Have to come back Friday to get my drain tube out. Went well

Just arrived. Sitting in parking lot with my hubby. Have 25 mins before we need to be checked in. WooohooooYou behave out there in that parking lot!! Lol.

Won't be long just hang in there. You are lucky I have to wait until 12:30. Lol. You'll be done and on the road to recovery while I'm in pre-op waiting. Lol.

Good morning!!! Managed to get about 3 hours of sleep. We are leaving for the hospital in about 20 minutes. It's about an hour and a half away, but in a chicago suburb so we are giving ourselves a little extra time for traffic. Check in is at 9am cst. Good luck to everyone today!!!!! Good luck Sarah. Ttyl. I found a new app for us! It's called Eat Slower. Designed for us who have to eat slow from now on. Honestly don't know much about it but I downloaded it and going to check it out.

I have to say I've never seen a nicer group of people than those that participate on this site. You've all been a true inspiration and its been great to share with others who have had or are having this done. Mine is tomorrow at 12:30, will keep everyone posted. I totally anticipate a complete success and transformation! Congratulations to all of us.

I would have a "Come to Jesus" meeting with her,as my mother always called a direct face to face serious discussion... I would think after you ask her what the problem is, if she gets defensive about it, maybe she should find a different bridesmaid! Obviously not that great of a friend in my eyes, but I'm rather critical at times about friendships. I'm very outspoken and don't hold back so personally I would confront her before the shopping trip. If she's still a jerk, kindly give your reasons and regrets and save your self some money on buying that bridesmaid dress and go buy yourself a new outfit. You look great and you are an amazing friend. I would be honored to have a friend like you in my circle. Good luck!!!

Omg...I almost forgot to do this. I have it on my list now! I can't believe monday is coming so quickly. Taking my daughter and her friends in to chicago today was a good idea. Time is flying. Tomorrow is clear liquids....then surgery!Sarah. Took measurements this morning, Another OMG moment.... Lol. I'm leaving home to drive to iowa city today we are forecast for snow after midnight and I do not do snow. So I'm driving 3 hrs and staying in a hotel.
