So how's everyone's stitches doing, mine were super glued on the surface. How long before this damn glue wears off? Lol.

I was craving Chinese like crazy today. So I went to hyvee deli got me some hot/sour soup. Took it home blended into all liquid added protein powder blended again. Heaven!!! My son said, really all that fricking work for 3 tablespoons of food. Lol. He just doesn't understand.

For anyone who is sick of protein shakes my doctor gave me a list of low cal high protein shakes you can make yourself, they are easy and good and not super expensive, and they are not so sickening sweet as store bought! Good Molly. I had my drain removed last Friday. Not going to lie I was a wreck thought it would hurt like a B--/-! But it didn't hurt at all just felt kind of creepy. Lol I only had a drain for 2 days, how long did you have yours? It felt really weird when they pulled it out and I couldn't believe how long the tubing was.I had my drain 5 days. I know they told me they actually put the tubing around the new pouch, that's why it feels so creepy coming out, it's unwrapping from around the pouch. And yes I too was shocked at how long the tube was. Glad that part is over!

Ok this is a little off the wall, but going thru my Rachel Ray magazine I found a fork that would be great for all of us losers... It's called a HAPIfork. It vibrates and lights up when you are eating too fast! Tracks your total meal time, time in between meals and more! And they are only $100 each, yes each!! Technology.... Hmmmmm

I just started having that back pain right between my shoulder blades. Hurts like hell, was trying to Work in my office a little but ago and I could hardly stand to sit there. Laying down for a bit then going for a walk maybe that will help! If you figure out the source let me know too. Lol

I felt so good today went for a walk, put new flags and solar light on flag pole and started water sealing the deck... Man I'm feeling it now, I'm pooped!!! I'll pay dearly tomorrow, probably. Supposed to be 75 here tomorrow time to lay out and start soaking up the rays!!! Got my chair and cushion out ready to bake.

Yes I agree I took everything they had on a suggestion list. I used their robes, their little min skid slipper socks. I actually used my phone, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, hair dryer, and makeup to go home That's it, so don't get crazy packing!! Lol. Good luck.

Hi cathleenann. I had mine the 24th, I'm so sorry you're feeling so lousy. I wish I hd words of wisdom for you but all I can say is look how long you worked to be able to have surgery and you're probably just one that's body and emotions are struggling a little bit to adjust to the new you. I'm sure it's difficult but keep the faith and stay positive. This too shall pass. Sending prayers your way sweetie. Hang in there girl. You can do this!!????

My surgeon and nutritionist told me no vitamins until one week post op... So funny how all our doctors give different instructions on pre-surgery weight loss, use of protein shakes, vitamins. Etc....

I didn't have a recliner or money to buy one so I slept in a bed. The first two night I slept in the guest bed to keep my dogs away from me and then I moved to my own bed. I used lots and lots of pillows to kind of keep me propped up. I also bought a body pillow to lean on which has been very helpful even though I've had to fight my dogs to keep custody of it at night.Wallflower your post made me giggle. I have a dog issue too. I have a 167 lb German Shepard that I've kenneled since my surgery. Bringing him home tomorrow. Hope he's not psycho excited, he's like a small pony. Lots of pillows for a few days I guess. Lol.

Ok I have a real problem with being OCD. I just started on full liquids this afternoon and I'm already freaking out, second guessing myself... Am I eating too much? How do I know for sure I'm not putting too much stress on my pouch? Anyone else stress abt this or just me?

Follow up appt with my surgeon today. Everything looks good. Weight loss is beginning. He said mine may seem slower because I didn't start with very large numbers to lose. Took my drain out today. That was a creepy feeling but glad it's out! Now waiting to meet with my nutritionist.
