And an amazing loss!! You must be on cloud 9! Congrats
-
I feel like each week I have something new that I am snacking on or craving that is holding me back in old habits. the past few weeks it has been Sugar Free chocolate and a table spoon of Peanut Butter, or just peanut butter on my finger or spoon....... Last month it was Fiber one brownies. before that it was 1/4 a tortilla. I always get in my 80-100g Protein but I still crave and often eat the things that I know are not helpful to my body. I know they are small amounts and "not that bad" but once a week is good, not EVERYDAY. I need to get balance with these things and let myself have and enjoy some but not every day.

This works if you are eating Protein, each meal should be at least %50 protein. Also breakfast being protein is the most important.
-
I average between 600 to 800 cal.
-
I get 80-100+ grams of Protein a day I start my day with a hot peppermint mocha made from Premier Protein so that's 30 grams starting at 630am lunch I get around 10-15g protein then my snack is another hot peppermint mocha so that's 30g again then dinner is 15-30g

I don't know if you found any thing, but I am in San Diego. I am also the admin for the FB page for Pacific Bariatric and I am working on getting Kaiser to change their support group time so more people can go. -

I try to not be so hard on myself but it is really hard! I have 18 more pounds to go and I am terrified of it all just stopping right here!! I am trying to get LOTS of Water and see if that helps the hunger thing......... I might and it might not. I do have some leftovers from dinner last night. Cauliflower and ground turkey, but I know I like it and don't want to eat to much of it...... sigh....

Last night I ate a whole cup of food!!! I felt like a freaking PIG!!

So thankfully it was a fluke!! Total for the week (I officially weigh in on Tuesdays) I lost 2.8 for the week, and yesterday's weight was just either wrong or a fluke because I was 6 lbs less this morning and I weighed more than once to make sure (I should have done that yesterday) so I am on track and feeling much better.

This past week I was feeling wonderful, I have had slow weeks (.9 lbs) but I have aways lost and not gained, so this morning I am feeling devastated and defeated and like it just can't be true, my scale says I gained 5.3 pounds this weekend!! Friday was one of my best workout days ever!! How can this be?!?!?! I did have on my pajamas and I usually weigh naked....but my leggings and night shirt can't weigh 5 freaking pounds!! :-(

In my beginning 6 months of classes before surgery I was very private, and right before surgery I began to tell a few more. The response from the few more I told was so supportive and freeing I was shocked, I felt like I could be real about me and what's going on in my life, in a few cases I was told I inspired others. After surgery I decided I don't care and this is a part of me and my life journey. I'm in an office of about 75 and slowly people have asked, and I am very honest. I don't want to lie to people and them think they can have the same results with Protein drinks and a walk at lunch. People are so much more respectful about food in the office and so incredibly supportive. I have privately been told by many that I have inspired them to get back on track and get healthy. I no longer walk alone at lunch I have 2-3 who join me :-) It inspires me to keep on track and be held accountable. And it helps others to know know what's going on. I thought I would be the same way and keep it on forever, but I am Sooo Happy I didn't!!

9-8.5 I gave many of them away, but I can look and see what is left.

I have switched to spaghetti squash for Pasta and I told my household we are not going back. My BF is a marathon runner and he gets plenty of carbs from veggies and things. the pasta and rice is just not needed, WLS person or not. I do not understand why doctors would recommend going back on carbs, knowing for many of us they are addictive and really our body does not need refined sugar or flour.

I am also in San Diego, I am 19 weeks out. I am doing pretty good but I must get my workouts up!! as of now I just walk 1.5-2 miles during my lunch break.

I had 63 pairs of shoes!! most all of them are too big now :-( I am so sad, and broke so I keep trying to wear them, and yes I have about killed myself a few times.

Yes I did for a long time. After switching to bariatric vitamins and really really trying to get my water in, it happens a lot less. -
Hair falling out/ loose skin?
PinkPolkadot619 replied to Brookea83's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I just wanted to hear from others who have lost over 100 pounds. I wanted advice about how to get a better handle on your hair falling out and what exercises you recommend to help minimize loose skin. What age are you while going thru this and what did you do or notice that you feel others should know? I am 31 years old and I want to lose 120 pounds. What would be your biggest must do to someone who fears all those things but know that the end result is better than the small stuff? I am 31 and 4 months post op. I have very little skin, and I am at 92 pounds lost so far. I did just a few weeks ago notice more hair coming out but it is not bad. I take TONS of Biotin and started doing it 6 months before surgery so my hair was as healthy as possible. I also make sure I meet my Protein goals every day using 2 shakes a day that have 30 g of protein in them. -
So I had a wonderful 4 day weekend getaway with my boyfriend. We stayed at a bed and Breakfast for two nights and then 1 night in a hotel near the hot springs day spa we went to the next day. I did okay but really beat myself up!! Yes I ate things I shouldn't, not in excess but I did. I had some very small chocolate covered strawberries and did fine. But the. I ate more of them and not so small and made myself sick!! Right when it was time for me to put on my new cute sexy stuff.... I was sooo sick but I played it off pretty well. :-/ I was really hard on myself but then my bf told me to enjoy myself and I can get back at it on Tuesday. So today I focused on my Protein shakes and not drinking to fast. Then my meals I really focused on eating slow, I got full on one piece of string cheese!! This really made me realize how important it is that I need to focus on how I'm eating. I lost 3 pounds last week and only .9 pounds this week. But I lost and it's not to late to go back to the basics and get to know my pouch again. I think I was just so excited I could eat a good variety of food, I lost control. This is from the spa at the bed and breakfast

I am 11 pounds from being in the "healthy" BMI range!!!

It is pretty amazing, and I for one wouldn't change anything about my choices, I am able to eat more things all the time, but I am completely staying healthy choices. All but the popcorn??? lol
-
I don't have a problem with it getting stuck, I don't eat a lot of it, just whenever I am having an urge for like something carby?

Spaghetti squash?
PinkPolkadot619 replied to DarthVixen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am now 17 weeks out and eat it al the time now. I love it -
Yes and no, we should not be consuming foods that are too sweet or high in fat, so powering through is not a good idea, I know I'm sick of plain foods but I am not trying to power through so my pouch is like it used to be before surgery, we must learn to live without sugar and high fats. We don't want to and defeat the surgery and force our bodies back to where we started.

Also be aware of our new way of absorbing, we better absorb calcium citrate than calcium carbonate. Bariatric Advantage has some good FAQ https://www1.bariatricadvantage.com/blog?id=9774 https://www1.bariatricadvantage.com/blog?id=2773943
