Wow!! Congrats to you!! You look amazing!! -
Sleeved 4/8. Down 59 pounds and feeling fantastic. I'm not getting in exactly all the protein I need but it's a work in progress. I'm able to drink lots of water now and happy cause I was a huge water drinker before but have just recently begun to like it again. Working out every am and have the energy to do it despite how little we all eat. How is everyone else doing? It's tough some days. I still crave pizza and bread. But I don't eat it.

Question for Newbie
Jennifer2575 replied to ankinray's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
. This is normal. Each day gets better. I was a huge water drinker before the surgery and after it took about 6 weeks to drink normal. The water is very important so sip sip and sip. Sugar free Popsicles were a lifesaver/ u don't want to get dehydrated. Goodluck!!! Give yourself a week or two and you will be feeling fantastic!! I went back to work after 5 days. Rest, sip and walk! -
April 8th was my surgery. 278 starting. Day if surgery 266. Today 217. My 2 month doc appt is Friday. Curious to see where the doc thinks my weight loss is. I gave only had 1 appt since the surgery. I had one scheduled sooner but they had to postpone it.

. Then I'm sure it's just your body healing and adjusting and you will start dropping soon. Your water situation is hard with work I have to sip all day to get the 64 ounces in. -

. Don't get discouraged. Wait until your appt. you could be dehydrated some and retaining water. Def could be constipation. 800 calories seem a bit high. I'm 8 weeks out and getting a total of 4 to 500 per day, mostly protein and lots of water and walking. I I stalked for 3 weeks but lost 3 pounds the following week. If I don't get in all my protein- 60 grams I don't lose at all. Keep me updated after your doc appt. at three weeks your new tummy is still recovering so don't fret!! -
My doc said no caffeine as it's potency in small pouch can cause very painful ulcers! So I do caffeine free ice teas- make my own with stevia and lemon.
-
. I read today it could be circulation but that being vitamin b12 deficient can cause it.

Jennifer2575 replied to kdosreis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
. Yeah the dehydration freaked me out too so I drank as much as I could. If they hook you up on iv you will feel so much better. Your case sounds a bit worse then mine but I'm sure you will be on the mend. -
Did anyone get C. Diff from surgery?
Jennifer2575 replied to kdosreis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
. I'm 5 weeks out- at 3 weeks I had really bad nausea and diahreah bad. I made appt with surgeon and they did a stool sample and it confirmed difficile c. I was told it's just a reaction to an antibiotic they give you during surgery. The funny thing is they gave me another antibiotic to cure it. It's called metronizadole. After about 3 days on it I felt so much better. The pill is huge and I have to cut up in 7 pieces to get down and I take nausea meds with it cause it causes nausea and bitter taste. I was miserable for about 3 days but myself now- I lost 10 pounds in 4 days. I'm sorry you have this- I was do upset but once I got the meds things were back to normal. I have to take the antibiotics 14 days. Let me know how your doing. -
When can you use a straw?
Jennifer2575 replied to MichelleBryant's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

same here!! I watch shows on tv as well and they satisfy me!! Weird huh! Diners drive in and dives is my favorite! -
I have been on antibiotics - huge horse pills. I use a pull cutter and cut in 7 pieces and use a straw to swallow them down with fail bored vitamin water. It's a chore but better than crushing which tastes awful!!

Lovenox injections after surgery!?!?!?
Jennifer2575 replied to Time4Kindness's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do them for 10 days. I did in my belly for 5 and back of my arms for 5. Small punch lots of bruising. Did them twice a day. It goes by fast !! -
. This surgery is no joke so if there is any concern for your liver be glad they made you wait. You want everything to be in as good as shape as possible. Get a 2nd opinion on liver and keep your surgeon in the loop. It's possible you have something going on- or not. Better to be safe then sorry. I'm 4 weeks post op and every other day I feel something here or there and petrified it's my liver or my stomach or kidney. This surgery and the recovery can do a number on you/ u don't want liver issues on top of it. You will get the surgery when your body and everything else is meant to. Don't give up- so much you have done already.
