Sorry to hear all this happen to you. I am extreamly glad that I do not have to go to Mexico to get my procedure. What kind of a hospital would be talking about 2000 dollars when you are near death? Money should be the last thing on anyones mind. I pray that you recover and that all the negative is behind you.

It is amazing to me how attractive people become after losing their weight. I know we are supposed to see people for who they are but you went from okay to DAMN!!! You look great congratulations on your weight loss and your new life. Pictures like this make me very excited to get my journey going. Let me say DAMN again you look great.

Don't be scared and don't back out. Some of the best surgeons are in Mexico. I can't answer on the hair issue as I shave my head. I am scheduled for Wednesday the 26th. I am nervous but not scared. Nervous about my new journey. You can do it. Be confident in yourself.

March 26th here. I was worried however I have come to the conclusion that things are going to go great. A little discomfort and maybe some pain is worth the next 40 to 50 years of not being obese. Statistically this surgery is very very safe. My doctors Grand Health Partners have had one death out of 8000 cases. And who knows all the details behind that persons health issues. I am sick of being heavy. One other thing my life is in Gods hands if it's my time then it's my time. God has opened every door for this surgery. Less than two month ago was my first visit to Ghp. No hassle from the insurance company. It's go time. Getting in your car and going to the store posses more death risk than getting this surgery. Good luck to all March sleeve patients.

I'm on the 26th as well. This two week pre op diet is not easy. My starting weight was 303 and I am excited to get this going. There are some really good videos on YouTube if you have not checked them out yet. There's one guy who has the top 10 reasons to not have vsg surgery. This is a great video if you get time to check it out.

Hello everyone. I have be lurking for a few months and am excited to make my first post. So my story is the same as many others with weight. However I started this process last month and have been cleared for surgery already. My date is the 26th of this month. Kinda scared me when it all went so fast as many stories here talk about months and even years of waiting. I feel I am ready and have as much knowledge about the procedure and lifestyle change coming. I guess I was expecting months of waiting and lots of time to ponder. Don't mean to sound arrogant or insensitive to those who do end up waiting a long time I just want to make sure there is nothing I have overlooked in all this.

I must say I am in the same boat as you. Since I was given my date I have started paying more attention to the things that will no longer be an issue once I lose the weight. I will be able to walk a flight of stairs with out panting for air.. I will be able to tie my shoes with out setting my foot at a higher level to reach it.. There is too much bad that will be better once this is done. I am sick of being this way and am going to do what ever it takes to get healthy.. My kids need me.. My wife needs me. I want to know what it feels like to go to a store and buy normal cloths. The list goes on and on. These are the things I think of if the question comes to mind about am I really going to do this. Yes. Yes I am doing it..
