I am home and all seems to have gone well. Best Doctor and the room I had at ECMC was more like a hotel room
than a hospital room. Now on to sipping my way to a healthier life.

ECMC was the only option for me as that is the only place my doctor does surgery. They used to be out of sisters, changed to ECMC. I have Dr. Cavaretta through Synergy. They built new suites, they are actually on the transplant floor. They were wonderful and private! They did give scripts for pain meds and heartburn etc, before you leave. I know everyone is different, I was not in a lot of pain. Only pain was the gas! I had pain meds at night just to sleep because the gas was so uncomfortable.

Niquee, congratulations on the 101.7. That is great! And wow Devint, I am hoping that your Vitamin levels are where they need to be. I was a bit anemic after the first round of testing.
I have been taking yoga classes and have found them very helpful. I am now considering joining the regular gym that is near my house since it has been so cold and wet this winter.
Is it just me, or are you freezing this winter too? I never used to wear long john pants under my jeans and tank tops under the turtlenecks.

@@Niquee, congrats on the century club and onederland! I am so happy for you. I can totally agree and relate to what you mean about the holidays. WOW I was so bad with Cookies and pie jeez. It works against me that I don't throw things up they just go down and stay down and cause me misery.
I am going to the support group at my doctors tonight and am hoping to get my Vitamin reports from my 6 month checkup. My doctor said that if I have good Vitamin levels I can pursue trying to conceive, which was a primary reason I got the sleeve in the first place. This is somewhat controversial as some doctors make patients wait 2 years but mine says as long as you aren't deficient and have a good handle on calories and can get in 1k then I'm good to go.
My stall at 220 lasted for about a 6 weeks, but broke early December (hard to believe I'm not sure if I've checked in since then.) and i'm down to 212 today so it's moving, much slower but still. I'm glad because i went down one more size since then. I bought a foam roller to help with home exercises and stretches as I've been having problems caused by posture and muscle imbalances in my middle back and outside of my thighs.
Hope you all had great holidays and good luck with your resolutions!

What do you consider a significant number? I am 7 months out and hit my first major stall. It has been 3 weeks same weight but I have been considering other things like does my body have a memory of weights it has been? I have lost 130 in a year 90 since surgery and am stuck at 218. Here is my thought from age 13-25, I would weigh between 200-230 longest time I had a consistent weight. Does my body think this is normal weight? More than just fighting food, exercise and Water am I fighting something in my own body's wiring?
I keep thinking if I can break this two hundred mark I will then be in unknown area and my body will have to give in. I know might be wishful thinking but I can still hope!! My goal weight is 160-175.

Something strange happened, but in a very nice way. I think i am getting a nice xmas gift.
I was hoping to have lost 100lbs by x-mas or even better be under the 200lbs mark. But with the stall the chances of that happening was getting very slim. However since monday i have been losing about a pound a day, which for me is not quite normal. Normally i lose one but the next day nothing and so on. So this is very suprising and welcome! Either 2 things can explain this phenomena, since monday i started taking a natural produc call DIM enhanced (which is simply an antioxidant to maintain good health, a naturopath recommanded it to me, to fix my cycle because i get bloaded from ovulation and it,s painful. Or i also started on december first the 100 miles challenge, which isnt that big of deal, between december 1st and march 1st there is 100 day and you have to walk a mile everyday and you are not allowed to skip a day.
So i have now loss 96 lbs...4 lns to go for wish #1 and 8 lbs to go for wish #2 to be under 200 lbs.
I know it's a bit stupid, it just that at xmas gathering when people that havent seen me for a while, ask me "wow how much have you lost." It so much more impressive to say "i lost a 100 lbs" BAaM... ..than to say " i lost 96 lbs"
I just dont get comment all that much on my weight lost

So I thought I was starting to lose again BUT alas I gained back the 3 lbs I lost. I think the problem is just because I am so close to goal. At some point my stubborn body will have no choice but to lose cuz I am not over eating and I am exercising.
As far as getting tired of people complimenting you. I haven't experienced that yet. But I am getting tired of the "how did you do it comments". That's kinda annoying to me.

Wow this is a bucket full of trauma that you are dealing with. Being sexually assaulted is a life changer for anyone. It is not a simple matter to deal with and like anyone who suffers from an addiction, we go where we find the most comfort. And for us who suffer from the disease it is FOOD!
I understand that the pressure has been enormous but eating junk is only going to stir up those cravings again and make it much harder for you to reach your goal. Failing is not an option here. You have to push forward to find the strength within yourself to deal with what has happened to you. Eating right with give your mind and body one less thing to worry about during this time. I know this must be very very hard and I am so sorry for your recent life changers.
You have to remember you have come so far and there is only a goal in front of you and better health and well being. But and I say but...You have to get through this horrible event before it takes hold and changes you in ways you don't expect or want. Please work this out so you can put it behind you and not let it rule your life. He is not worth it. I am so sad that you have had this happen to you. It is an injustice that happens to women all over the world. The person who did this is weak and inhuman. Not a man at all. But a child wanting power over someone else. You need to look at him as he is a perpetrator and you the victim. No doubt in my mind this has a lot to do with your new found eating habits.
Protect you. Look after you. You will be stronger if you do! Forward and back on track will help you feel more in control in a life right now that is out of control.
My heart goes out to you. Sending hugs!

I usually get about 800-1000 calories a day. I stalled around the 5 week mark for about 3 weeks. I upped my calorie intake and that seemed to help. I was only getting about 500-600 calories at that time.

It is by far the best decision I have ever made for health!!! The best advice I can give you is to listen to YOUR Dr. & your body!!! :-)

We are beginning week 6! We count surgery week as week 1 so everyone should be completing their 5th week of their brand new tummy!

I've been traveling a lot the last few weeks and it is a HUGE eye opener to how little I can eat now. I survived a buffet by having a few bites of some different things, and paid for far too much money for meals that I couldn't take home leftovers and it looks like I didn't eat a thing off the plate. I think one of the hard things for me is that a plate of food comes and it looks so good and I want to devour it! I get slightly depressed I'll only get to enjoy a few bites. Yet after about 1/4 cup I'm stuffed and full and push the plate away and don't want another bite, which is AWESOME!! I'm assuming the odd depression right when the plate comes out will pass. At least when I'm at home I can box the left overs right away and then it might not seem so bad. I never thought much about the money being saved on food, but holy cow its gotta be a ton.

So I'm curious... how many are sticking to super low carb, vs those who are just watching calories/letting restriction do its job.

How many are working out a ton and how many are waiting?

Whats your favorite meal at this point?

And I'd like to continue habsi's question; what pills/multivitamins is everyone taking daily?

devint I loved your idea for putting up averages etc!! I've added mine and included those who weighed in last week. Hopefully we can get everyone to weigh in Monday or Tuesday next week and see our numbers skyrocket!

Hello, I was sleeved on 5/27/14. Things have been going really well. It seems that so far I hVe been able to handle everything I have introduced to my diet. I have tried steak and chicken and no problems. Since I have added more solid foods it seems I am not loosing weight. I don know of this is the dreaded stall everyone is talking about or what. This week I have gained 3 lbs. I am getting in just about all the Protein I am supposed to still not able to go over much of 500 calories and getting all my liquids in. Not to many carbs. I do need to up my exercise which is just walking for now. What could be the issues? My stats are
