  1. Oh yeah Cindy,

Aren't you scheduled for a Jan. 2nd fill too? I just got mine changed to that date because of an extended trip out of town.

It will be interesting to see how we both do!

Yeah! Actually my Doc's card says 12/3/08 but the fill clinic is on Wednesday, so I need to call and clarify but in either case I can't wait. I have been really getting more hungry this last week and having to diet to keep weight melting off.

Glad to hear that you are doing so well. Loved the story about the family. How cute that you fell asleep with your oldest son...very sweet. Are you all set with Christmas?

  2. No...

Now don't freak out when I say this... OK?

I don't watch the cowboy games. I listen to them on the radio. Ya see... I do not own a Television. My wife and I think that it is better for our family not to have one in the house. We watch DVD's on the computer if we want to watch something.

I may go over to Buffalo Wild Wings though. I have some buddies that can't get the game either. I may meet up with them for the game.

    GO BOYZ!!!

    Cag-

I am impressed! I wish I had the will power to do that. However, I am such a fanatic that if I missed the PATS, I would be going through major withdrawals. I have a funny story, about 4+ years ago we opened our little country store and we decided that we would not open on Sunday's. Our motto:

    God

    Family

    Football

    ....That Order!

Funny thing is during the Christmas season we are the busiest so we did open in December only. I had a little TV in my office so that I could go in and check the score or during a slow spot watch the game. Hubby was good because he would call me with the play by play. To this day, I have the TV in my office just for Football.

Now, I not only watch the PATS but we are such hard nosed football fanatics that we watch football from 1pm until the late game. As matter of fact, I will be watching your boyz game tomorrow night.

I do have my football fever in perspective though because God does truly come first in our lives.

  3. I was banded 11-08 and was doing good until week 5. Got a bad port site infection. Went to Dr. and they said it would get better. Came back a few says later because it was much worse. Now on super antibiotics and couldn't get 6week fill, and I am hungry! Good news it is getting better and I'm supposed to get my fill on day after Xmas. Ihave lost 37 Lbs. in 2&1/2 mos., pre and post op. Good luck to everybody else.

    Love, Kat

    Kat-

Holy Smoke! You have been through an ordeal. What I like to see is your attitude. It has not swayed you against the Band. Keep up the great attitude and you will be successful in no time.

    Best Wishes.

    Cindy

  4. When I voted on Nymph in the November Name Poll, I was thinking about the insect form of Nymph. I forgot about the Mythological reference. I was wondering why everybody had those lil wing-ed ladies on their sig line. I suppose I will have to get a nice picture of a grub worm or something!:heh:

    Cag-

You make me laugh! Not as bad as me not knowing what I was putting on my signature line. I am so niave. Think that's why my husband married me. He gets a good laugh every now then when things come out of my mouth.

    Cindy

  5. I feel for you. I am six weeks post op and I just starting to feel more hungry since surgery. I know that it is time for a fill but I am not scheduled until 1/3/08. I can't wait and hopefully it will help even just a little. I know it is hard because I am having to diet through this phase until I am at restriction but it is worth it and I am still losing very consistently.

Hang in their guys and don't beat yourselves up. Just jump back on the wagon as soon as you fall off. Remember this is a lifestyle change and forever so you bound to not make great choices all the time. It is how you handle it.

    Keep your chins up!

  6. I just got my first fill date changed today. It was 1/9 but I am leaving out for a long business trip on the 10th and didn't want to be on the road just after my first fill. I got it bumped up a week to the 2nd of January. That is one less week of this hunger... hopefully.

Maybe I will get lucky and get good restriction right off the bat.

    Hey Cag-

Did you weigh in today? How did you do? Left you a message in the "A November Nymph is 50lbs Lighter" thread but didn't hear from you. How is the new baby doing and your family? Are you getting any sleep? I hope so. Your family is so beautiful, you are blessed. I have 3 boys, 14, 13 and 10. They keep me very busy.

Also, what happened to your boys on Sunday. I guess Romo can't have any girls at the game to distract him.

    Keep in touch!

    Cindy

  7. Ok...guys I am so jealous. I have to wait 2 more weeks before my first fill. I am definately getting more hungry. I was able to eat Breakfast and not get hungry before lunchtime but now I am needing a snack between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner to stave off my hunger. However, I am still losing. Lost 3 lbs last week and total of 10lbs in two weeks but it is through working the diet. I know I can make it especially coming on LBT for support.

  8. Oh gosh your second fill!!~! I haven't had my first yet. I do get mine on Wednesday though. I can't wait. I know that's what I need, since I have gained weight this week. :(

I am with you Wendy, my first fill is not scheduled until 1/3. I had lost kind of quickly; so at my postop appt my doc didn't schedule me until January. I am starting to get hungrier especially this week. I am having to diet through until the first fill.

    Kandi

I think that sometimes it takes multiple fills to feel restriction. Also, sometimes the fill doesn't kick in for a few days/weeks. Good luck...it will happen.

  9. Well,

I had to break down and buy a new pair of jeans yesterday. I am wearing them today! My old slacks and jeans were a waist size 54 and these are a 48 waist! They feel great and look decent too. The best part... Wally World has finally added some fashionable jeans to the fat boy rack! They were only 10 dollars. Once I get to size 44, they will drop to $8!!! Cant wait to wear 8 dollar jeans. I will get some name brand jeans once I am a bit closer to my goal.

    Congrats Cagstorm!

You must feel so excited. I have been putting off buying new clothes because I want to lose a little more prior to buying some new things. I really need some new tops because I am losing weight from the waist up at this point or least it feels that way.

Here's to having to buy new clothes!

  10. oh man... I edited something and now all that code is showing up!:angry

I have the hardest time editing posts. What is up with all the smilies in between E:)V:)E:)R:)Y:) L:)E:)T:)T:)E:)R:)!!!

    Hey Cagstorm-

You getting any sleep? How's the new baby and your wife? Hope all is well.

Now, I can't update my signature because the batteries died in my scale and I and my hubby keep forgetting to get batteries. It is really killing me to know. We did get them today so tomorrow morning I will update.

Things have been slowing down for me and I am getting a little more hungry than I had been; so I guess it is time for a fill. I am scheduled for 1/3/08 so I hope that I can do well until then. My goal is to lose another 5lbs by New Years Day. I hope that I can do it because this will be a very big milestone for me. Under 300 for the first time since my 3rd son being born so about 10 years or so.

I have three boys 14, 13 & 10 so you are well on your way to keeping up with me with regard to boys. Funny thing is none of them plays football. They decided that they like the Patriots so much that they did not want to miss the games on Sundays if they played. They are baseball players. I have got to admit that I do not care for baseball as much as football.

Congratulations on the Cowboys 11 player Pro-Bowl picks! The Pats had about 5 or so. My boy Brady, Moss, Mankins, Vrabel, Wilfork & Light. What happened to your boys on Sunday?

    Cindy (aka Hollie)

PS: Hollyberries is the name of the Country Store that my husband and I own in MA.

  11. i am absolutly not a nymph, altho years back if i was a gal i could have been described as a nympho. hoping the band will help me recover some of that.
<br /> Ok...Ok....Ok...I am a very niave Nymph....But very funny remark with the Nympho...gotta admit I wasn't sure about the Nymph thing even when I added it to my signature....Anyways, you are part of the November Family regardless.

  12. I am six weeks from banding and another two weeks since the start of the pre-op diet. I'm down 21.5 pounds so far, but most of it came during the first four weeks. Stil, it's an average of over 3 pounds a week overall, so I am not complaining at all. I'd like to lose a steady 10 pounds a month from now on out. But I'd LIKE a lot of things that I may not get, so I am pretty flexible in my expectations. This week, I am going to start back on the eliptical trainer. That should knock a few pounds off!

You are doing great. Keep up the great attitude! Here is to keeping on plan with diet and exercise.

  13. I'd like to suggest "Scorpio-Sagittarian Satyr" for male members banded in November. This "Scorpio-Sagittarian Satyr" has lost 30 lbs. since being banded on November 21st. Congratulations to us all... let's just remember, we've all lost and gained before, and the operation was on the stomach, not on the head!

Nice Job! Keep it up. I like the new name; can someone explain what a Nymph is? LOL Should have asked before I took on the name. I digress! Great job and before you know you will shrinking into a whole new body.

  14. Well done November Nymphs – some sensational results there. Personally I’ve lost 13 kg (28.6 lbs) since I commenced my pre-op diet before I was banded on 4 November. People are starting to comment and I have thrown away some too big pairs of trousers and shorts. My belt is in four notches and there are no more holes left on it. My tennis game has improved, especially court coverage and my stamina is far better. Work outs in the gym are the same, but I am going more often and doing extra long sessions on the weekends. I’m drinking some wine on weekends when we are out socially, but haven’t had a beer or any carbonated drinks since banding. I’m fussy about what I eat and quite selective, no rice, bread or other “nothing” foods for me anymore. Early in December I’ve had a 4 cc fill, but am still to reach my sweet spot. Next appointment with my Doctor is in early January and I’ll be looking a few more cc in my band. Keep up the good work everyone and be careful not to overeat during the Christmas and New Year time. Cheers, Phil

Great weightloss! What I like about this Band is that I can eat whatever I want; however, like you I am making better choices (except for last night: holiday party at my house). I eat much smaller portions which I never thought would happen. I love my "Band". Keep up the great work. You are doing remarkable.

  15. Preop down 10.5 lbs. surgery date nov 26th, down 15 lbs. total is 25lbs.

I will confess though, this last wk has not been easy with the hunger situation. I am trying very hard to be good.

I dont get a fill till mid Jan, I think I may call docs office to see if i can change the date.

    Good luck to you all,

    Sincerely,

Good job! Just keep your chin up with the hunger and stay on plan. Staying on plan during the holidays is too much to ask but you can do it. 25lbs. gone forever...Yeah!
